    Finally my day has arrived, i got my PR couple of minutes ago. I'm literally crying at the moment, can't explain what i am feeling right now.     Hi All, My IMMI account status change to initial assessment and CO requested s56 more information. And also he asked to provide medical clearance for my new born baby. Is this a good sign? do I need to be happy? or is this starting the trouble ? Thanks in advance!!!

    Good question! But I think they linked with the tax department recently to check the individual income tax not the company. Anyway maybe I am wrong. That's why I raised that question. Thanks

    Hi, Are they normally cross check the company financial documents ( P&L and BAS ) with the tax department? I saw somewhere in the article said that they will check the employee income tax with the tax department. Do any one have a clue regarding this? Thanks in advance

    In my view this is the reason we should need to worry. They managed to reduce last year intake by using the word " strengthening the integrity of process" . It means they refuse so many application without asking any further documents. Should it happens again?

    Thank you very much for the information. Yes. you were right. there were no need to show evidence after 12/08/2018. but you must need to show evidence up to 12/08/18. That's mean you need to show the evidence for the whole period of SBS up to 12/08/18.

    Hi, MA said that my employer did not pay required full training amount to satisfy bench mark A for 2017/2018 period. When I asked from him to pay it he said he can't back paid it for 2017/2018 because the TAFE he been paid training fees not flexible to accept the payments for previous financial year.IF Anybody in hear know any TAFE who will accept the payment for last financial year, please be kind enough to PM me the details. It should need to be for Training benchmark A. Big help!!!!

    Hi Mark, Skilling Australians Fund (SAF) came to effect from 12/08/2018. Until this day your employer have to meet training bench mark according to previous requirements. After this day he only have obligation to meet new SAF requirements. Thanks

    Migration Program 2018/19 ---------------------------------------------------- There has been much media speculation and statements from government about the number of permanent visas to be granted under the 2018/19 migration program. In my view the numbers for the program year up to June 2019 are going to be much closer to the cap of 190,000 rather than the previous year's 163,000. The Prime Minister seems to be trying to please the extreme right of his party and also garner some extra votes in the upcoming Federal Election. The timing of the steps he has announced (State Government meetings in December 2018 and a decision to be announced in the Budget of April 2019) will not allow any changes to impact on the 2018/19 figures. Rather they will reflect on the cap for 2019/2020. (If they are in government). Also the current government is likely to be not returned in the upcoming Federal Election where the opposition Labor party are a strong favourite to win. The Labor policy is likely to be much more generous to migrants from past history. Finally the amount of current permanent visas already lodged and waiting a long time for their decisions, and the 2,500 invitations given to the 189 category over each of the last few months all point to a program much more likely to be near 180000/190000. For now until we hear something different we will assume that the 189 invitations are likely to stay around 2500 each month as this will be consistent with the number of invitations issued in 2015/2016 and 2016/17 (just over 30,000 per year) before the now disposed Peter Dutton had his change in policy for 2017/18.

    Hi All, Please don't consider me as a free rider. I am a silent reader of this thread for many months and didn't want to register as my knowledge on this topic very few. Regarding me, I am currently holding a 457 visa and planing to apply 186 TRT at the end of this month. Wish me luck !! My problem is current employer said his Standard business sponsorship (SBS) has expired this year and he not going to renew it as he not willing to do the sponsor any more. Q1. Is this going to affect me? he said no Q2. Is he not required to meet training benchmark after his SBS expired? he said no While waiting to consult MA your valuable thoughts on this matter highly appreciated Furthermore If anyone know good, experience MA who can handle this case and located around Melbourne more than well come to introduce. Thank you very much in advance guys.
