Hi everyone, I applied for DE, but I am still on the student visa until it expires (nov/2018). Does anyone know if I can travel to another country for one week while I am on the student visa without affecting anything in my application? Thank you!

Are you applying for the Transaction or Direct Entry visa?

Hi @Abhijitkulk I am applying for Direct Entry, I believe the processing time is different from TR. But even this I cannot understand why they keep increasing it, while there are so many people getting the visa in less than 9 months.

New processing time displayed on my immi account: 13 months to 19 months >>> 15 months to 19 months

Hi @eddy101 / @Pinky117, yeah, it makes sense. Plus few things changed in March as well, so I believe many applications were lodge in February to avoid it.

Hi guys, on the Home Affairs website it is displaying 13 to 18 months for DE. I logged on my immi account and it says 13 to 19 months DE.

Good to hear @LUdo !!! You are the second applicant from December which receives an update, so I think they are processing the Dec/17 applications.

Hi @Eddy101 oh yes, we have a long wait ahead, but I have hopes that we will get sooner. Yes, I did apply for the medicare as soon as I got the bridging visa granted, also I used it already and it is so much better than the student one. I am not sure about the Child Care, but I think it is only for approved residents.

Hi @Eddy101, I am not sure about the other perks, but I applied for my 186 DE on the same day as yours. So I hope we get the answers soon. Please let me know if they provide any update in your application ?
