  1. It's really disappointing as this is not making any sense.. Soon we will reach 3 years of processing time before any visa gets approved.. I am really over this shit!
  2. I also hope that the processing time will go down.. it should be updated today..
  3. Hopefully tomorrow processing time will be updated and we will have a further decrease ---> 17-19 months to 24months...? Just dreaming I know ?
  4. I have applied in Dec 2017.. its been already 8 months and no news from Immi. Still hoping for the best though and praying for all of us ??
  5. Hi mate, There is no such thing as bad to follow up on your visa application over the phone or by email but just bear in mind that you might not get any relevant info on the progress of your application.. I am just talking out of experience but maybe you will be more lucky than me if you try who knows.. Good luck anyway! Give us some good news.
  6. Hi mate, I did not know that one's nationality can whether be a bonus or a setback.. I have seen people saying not only that the country where you come from can be a factor (LR or HR), but the position you are sponsored under can have priority over other positions. Would you please be able to provide more info on the above? Please share with us as I would like to check if my country is considered as LR and if my position has priority too. Thanks heaps.
  7. No mate. There is 50% of all applications being rejected atm. And we cant blame the gov as they are trying to keep only genuine applications and in other words, protect their great country.. People have abused of the system and have done heaps of shit to cut corners.. so i dont blame the gov, but its just unfair on the people who have done it the right way... I must agree..
  8. Sorry to hear that! Hope that you can prove that there is a genuine need somehow, dont let it bring you down, and check your options (especially if you have done it the right way and it is genuine indeed) Best of luck!
  9. I understand your worry and to be honest it will be better to show to Immi that you are full time as of now but if you cant get it, remember that it is not an obligation while on bridging visa. Stay positive, he has signed your visa form on your application in which your employer has committed to give you work as a full time person for 2 years.. so dont worry for now, the commitment starts after visa is being granted.. and that will be on him not on you, as you are doing things clearly the right way here.. and am sure thats something you can justify as you are pregnant and maybe there is only so much you can handle at the moment.. (you could still argue that your employer has brought a person to replace during the maternity leave) Hang on girl! You are almost there! Immi will be processing 2017 files very soon am sure ??
  10. Hi Hayley, No worries! Below are my advice to you: - You arent in the obligation to start work while on your bridging visa but note that if you dont, immigration may be wondering " that your company dont really need you" - My advice is to work full time before visa granted to make sure you can get it, and if after visa granted the employer is still not giving you enough hours (though you should push for being full time), then thats his issues not yours, as he isnt fulfilling his commitments. - Dont get in touch as of yet with fair work if your visa hasnt been granted yet, as immigration says that "you have the option to withdraw your application"... I dont know much about legal advice for 187 but I know we have some rights and if you are facing some discrimination, Fair Work should be your first call!
  11. Hi Hayley, There is the fair work you can speak to, but before you do so, you will be best to speak to a migration solicitor at first as they can give you professional advice on what to do or not and make sure your visa isnt at risk. Stay strong and think of the beautiful future you will give to your baby!
  12. Same here. Sick of where I live... I wish things can get better for all of us..
  13. Hi there, That sounds like a great news. Not that I am not believing you, but this has been so controversial and everyone is saying something different. Could you please advise where can we find this info on the immi website? Cheers
  14. The NTCC came into effect in March 2018 to replace the Training benchmark. The training benchmark applies to the followig visas: old 457; 186 ; 187 (TTS) but not the 187 (direct entry).. So basically if you applied for a 187 (DE) before the changes in March 2018 your employer isnt forced to prove the training expenses he made on his Australians and PR workers. Thats my understanding of it but I can be wrong after all. Hope it makes sense.
  15. Hi fellow mate, Are you saying that 75% of the applications are openened within 12 months? Do you mean visa + nomination if applied together? I dont know if you have looked at the processing times but it says 21-24 months.. so there is still a chance that good percentage of apps get processed out of the processing times? Can you please explain how it can depend on your position? Does that mean some position are processed before others? Were can I check if my position has priority over other positions or less priority? Anyone that has any extra info on the matter please kindly advise. Many thanks
