  1. 13. SWITCHING FROM A PARENT VISA TO A CONTRIBUTORY PARENT VISA The procedure for switching visa subclasses is as follows: 1. Lodge new Form 47PA (permanent) to the Parent Visa Centre. Ensure you complete “Part B – Declaration to Withdraw”. 2. Provide new Form 40 with the new application. 3. Pay the prescribed Visa Application Charge - the previous fee is not refundable or transferable. You do not need to provide copies of supporting documents you have already sent with the old application unless the information contained in those documents has changed or expired. Note: when switching from a Parent visa to a Contributory Parent visa, your original application lodgement date will be taken into account for your new application thus ensuring that you are not disadvantaged. Some applicants prefer to change only one person from a Parent visa to a Contributory Parent visa and this is acceptable and will not affect the other person’s application.
  2. I seem to recall this happening this time last year. Lots of visa grants in November and December, then in January/February onwards lots of requests for more information. The auto response from immi ( updated 6th November ) says it assessing up to May 2016. This hasn’t changed for months.
  3. I never once got any acknowledgment ( apart from the auto response email) or response to any documents or emails I submitted. You just don’t know what’s going on and that’s what’s so frustrating.
  4. Wow, that’s great news. So happy got you, it’s such a relief isn’t it.
  5. Over the moon for you, celebrations all the way once we get to Perth.
  6. Really hope you get that email soon, it’s such a great feeling after waiting for sooo long.
  7. Perth, just a house to sell and a business to wind up first.
  8. Seems like things are finally moving with processing congratulations, we are Perth bound also
  9. I can hardly believe I’m writing this. 2nd VAC request receive today and paid via bpay. Thank you to this group for keeping me sane (ish) during this awful year, Especially @Kathss56 ( your turn very soon) Don’t know if others are aware that when you pay via Bpay you don’t need to increase personal daily limit to pay. The receiving business sets the limit, I didn’t know this until I contacted Westpac to increase my daily limit
  10. There a few people who have been granted the 143, travelled and arrived in Australia with no problems as visa gives you PR. But as Linda said it’s getting a flight. I think that business class are less likely to get bumped off flights. I’m hoping that by the time we are ready to go the allocation of international passengers will be increased again, Fingers crossed. We are the same, willing to take the cost regardless to get there.
  11. You are nearly the same dates as me. Our AOS was initially rejected as well, must have been dealt with by the same agent at centrelink
  12. Wow, many congratulations, (but another secretly fuming member at the way IMMI deal strictly in date order )
  13. I don’t know for sure but aren’t the states, apart from WA, opening their borders at the end of the year so will that mean no quarantine interstate?
  14. Hi, Can you not get a refund and change airlines? This is the auto response from Immi re visa dates
  15. I agree with you, people think that they are going to have a visa in 4 to 5 years. I’m so pleased Kath Smart told me about this forum. I did get a figure From the calculator at the end of May but sadly can’t remember what it was exactly but I think around 1500.
  16. Yes let’s see, who knows what figure is correct. This is the data from the big list of daily 143 applications that a member got from Immi.
  17. This is the data that a member put together to show amount of 143 applications by month
  18. Doesn’t look like it according to the tracker. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1qdUJtvi43-4Ma76iDQWtT3Dv2KK4HxA1lvQzeAB2MOE/edit#gid=0
  19. Hi Patience this looks like the same guy that another member posted about on the PIO thread, page 911.
  20. https://www.change.org/p/australian-local-government-increase-number-of-permanent-parent-visas-in-australia I think this is the link you meant to post Kath.
