Occupation - hospital pharmacist State -QLD Stream ENS 186 Direct entry Number of applicants -1, LR country Nomination applied - 28/2/2018 Visa applied - 02/05/2018 Nomination granted - 14/11/2018 - request for new AFP AFP submitted 22/11/18 (last night) Visa granted - 23/11/2018 I know I've been extremely fortunate - wishing you all good news and happy emails going forward. There will be blips but you'll get there x I'm off to arrange a night out on the lash!

Thankyou - I did think the transition was easier given you’ve already been through skills assessment etc for a 457 prior to that application. I think I do meet all DE criteria- it’s just annoying we haven’t taken the easier route, even with my prompting! You can lead a horse to water......... Thanks again :-)

Thankyou so much for your reply I’ve combed through the requirements and actually think I fulfill all of the DE ( 12years experience including 2 here in Oz, 10 in the uk), and skills assessment from my 457 is still valid It makes sense that it was easier for HR and that’s why they did it . I guess I have no choice but to proceed ............

Hi folks, Q for the immi experts amongst you! I’ve worked for 2 yrs on 457 as antibiotic specialist pharmacist. Employer completed Nomination for 186 in feb. Unclear why but they did DE not TRT despite my meeting the criteria for transition. Is this likely to be a problem? I’m really worried as I’m told DE is ‘stricter’ and transition would have been much more straight forward . Ta in advance.

Hi folks, First post for me- my employer completed 186 nomination for me in Feb 18 and did direct entry. I don’t know why- I was expecting TRT given I’m on a 457 since 2016 and met the TRT criteria- I’ve only just found out. Is this likely to be a problem? Or more hurdles to jump? I’ve no idea why they did it that way! They said it was easier, I’m not sure it is.............especially as now the deadline has passed I don’t think they can submit a new TRT nomination or change the stream. Argh!
