Hello everyone, I have a question regarding to the Balance of Family test, So we are planning to apply visa 143 for my parents. They have 2 children: me and my step - brother (from dad and previous wife). I am permanent resident in Australia and my step brother is living permanently in Germany. Regarding to the Balance of Family test, my parents are eligible. However, the question is how we prove it? My dad and step- brother hardly contact so it is really hard for my dad to get his birth certificate as a proof for their relationship. Or do we just need to mention his name in the Application form and only submit further documents if requested? Thanks everyone and Have a good one

Hi everyone, I am planning to sponsor my dad to Australia by applying for visa 143. I am well awared that nowadays it might take more than 3 years for Immi to finallize a parent visa application. Our plan is to sponsor my dad first. Reason is dad has already retired while my mom is still working. She will not retire until next 3 years. So if we start to apply 143 for my dad now, wait 3 years later for result, then my dad as a Permanent resident can sponsor my mom by applying for spouse visa. I wish we can just apply visa 143 for both parents at once. However the fee (86k) for 2 people is pretty high for us to handle. Has any of you done this way before? And how do you think about it? To do this they must be: a genuine incorporated or unincorporated organisation, and able to support the assuree They need to give us proof: of registration of steady trading for at least 24 months before the date you apply The organisation must be genuine. It can’t be set up just to be able to give an assurance of support. To prove an organisation is genuine we need to see documents that could be: tax returns letters from their accountant, or a statement from the Australian Securities Investments Commission (ASIC)

Hi everyone Regarding to the Assurance of Support, it says an assurer can either be an individual or an organization (incorporated or unincorporated). Me and my partner have a business in partnership form. Our business has been running for 6 months now. I'm wondering if our business if eligible to be an assurer for a parents visa?
