At the beginning I thought call would be faster than email. They did say the processing time is 38-39 months, so if we are within that time frame we have to wait for them to contact us, full stop. No further answer they would give. I sent them 2 emails. One was in Jan and another one in Feb, I didn't get any response, not even auto reply email. Your reply on Sat was merely an auto reply from the system coz no one works on weekend???

I've just called the Immi Office to double check if they have received my documents submitted in Jan and Feb. After waiting time of more than 1 hour, I can finally reach them. The only answer they can say to you is "You have to wait and we will call you" X2 X3 X4 Xn, same answer for every single question I asked. I'm speechless now. We are working so hard and paying so much tax for the Government, now paying for very high visa application fee and we ended up getting very unpleasant experience when dealing with them. They are not helpful at all. If anyone here wants to know how my feeling is like now, you can give it a try.

"I would just be a little upset if we found out the following week that a new UK/AUS trade deal included free movement of people." -> personally I don't think this is going to happen, so don't be upset. Even if it will happen, those applicants need to wait at least 3 years or so. The sooner the parents can get visa the better. No complains for us.

@Zaki ~ lolz the visa is for my parents not me. What make you so sure that I’ll be contacted in a week time? If it is as what you said, I assume I couldn’t sleep for a week becoz of happiness. You can see there are a lot of people lodged in March submitted all requested docs and now they are still waiting for their turn to be assessed. So it’s very hard to predict when your turn will be. Now all we can do is sitting still and enjoy the ride. We all know that we’ll reach the destination, it’s just a matter of time - 1 year, 2 years, 3 years or even 4 years. This weekend is Easter holiday then daylight saving. We all can have a break and not thinking about visa for these 4 days. Phew!!!

I’ve got AOS acceptance letter in MyGov account after the phone interview and bond payment. Centerlink didnt post it out. So please make sure you ask your son to check his MyGov account regularly.

@HarrisL16 ~ when you sent AOS approval to DIBP on 6/3/18, which email address that you used? Have you got any acknowledgement from them after you sent?
-
@HarrisL16 ~ congratz!!!! You are the luckiest one even their processing date was only 20th April and your lodgement date was 28th April 2015 but you already got the request for 2nd VAC. I don't really know what to expect from the DIBP now. It's obviously not in chronological order.

Hi everyone, I just want to ask when you submitted extra docs such as Police Cert, Form 80 and AOS acceptance letter to DIBP, did you receive any confirmation your documents were received? How do we know if immi actually received them? Thank you.

@whataday ~ I know I have to be patient but we can't really plan anything until we got the visa. For selling house we need time, so it'll take at least 2-3 months for my parents to come here. "We are currently waiting for applications lodged in Jan Feb March finalised first then PVC will consider ours." -> there was one roomies dated 9/4/15 already got assessed, and requested 2nd VAC so I don't think it's in chronological orders. It depends on your luck too. Agree?

What do they mean by hit up your AOS? They can’t process until they get told by CO?
-
@Nicole Eire ~ Maybe send an e-mail to ask your CO? Which email address do you have when the CO contacted you? Is it from pvc1 or a different email?

@Nicole Eire ~ any updates at your end? I notice you’ve got the case officer back in Jan. Have you got requested for 2nd VAC?
-
I hope not. I hope we'll have some updates by the end of this week.

@Zaki ~ regarding the AOS, I suggest you contact Centerlink to check if they have received all the required docs, uncompleted application may result in major delays. 8-10 weeks are very normal processing time for AOS. As you submitted on 23rd Dec, you have to exclude xmas and ny closing period, so your one is only about 10 weeks or so. You'll get contacted very soon.

No I'm expecting either next week or before Easter. One of the room member date was 9th April 2015 and already got requested for 2nd VAC. Mine was only a few days behind, should be contacted soon I hope.
