Hello @Angelpie and thanks, yes I'm guessing so (2 years to pr) the grant letter just says until notified that 801has been decided or the application is withdrawn. I think one person on here said they got both together but I'm really not complaining I got this one a lot quicker than expected

Hey everyone, Quick update I just had my onshore partner 820 granted yesterday (lodged in Oct 18 via an Australian agent) sending good luck wishes to everyone else I've met so far on this journey.who is still waiting. My timeline; PMV 300 (lodged via Australian agent) Aug 2017, request for further info. (med and police check) med. failed referred then accepted visa granted Jan 2018 married onshore June 2018 Partner 820 lodged (via Australian agent) Oct 2018 granted May 2019.

@Angelpie I found that too! The relief of finally being here finalising the rest of the wedding plans (it was starting to feel like an episode of don't tell the bride ) settling into our new life and just enjoying the novelty of being together without time limit certainly made it difficult to 'knuckle down' to the paperwork again, definitely a real phew! moment when it was lodged. Now it's back to the waiting although without so much pressure this time (had a request for further info. new police checks a couple of weeks ago) take care yourself and best wishes too (haven't seen any updates from others on here for a while so hopefully it's working out for them all) xx

Congratulations on your wedding! @Angelpie great to hear how you're doing! I'm on the bridging visa too (lodged application in Oct) hope you're getting through the paperwork, I found it much harder to stay focussed second time around xx

Hey Nikisha, no I didn't get an update my agent sent me the details for the bva when he lodged my application but like you my pmv hadn't expired then. I've used the personal visa status check site since my pmv expired to make sure the bva had activated (it has ) hope this helps

Hi Nikisha, I think we were given similar processing time for ours too, guess only time will tell but at least we're able to be in the same place while we wait this time...makes it so much easier.

Hi Nikisha and congratulations! we had an Australian agent so I can only tell you (as I remember)what we sent him; basically no I didn't get anything else certified...sent lots of detail about the wedding with photos and receipts new form 888's some from friends and family who did them for the 300 and a few new ones all of them were also at the wedding. Our marriage certificate (obviously) and new updated relationship statement plus form 80. Still doing great here Best wishes Ditto wishing good news soon for those still waiting, we've all been through a similar experience on here and are with you in the waiting.

Phew! Thanks for that...likewise I've always enjoyed hearing others success etc on here too; you're absolutely right it does help. We spent over a year apart in the end because we couldn't afford the travel, it really helped to know we're weren't the only ones. I guess it's hard for anyone not in an ldr to understand.

I hope I didn't sound smug?because I really wouldn't want to ...I had the same issues and more last year! apart from having to move the wedding back we then had to get a new celebrant because ours couldn't move the date! Then my health check which was literally around Christmas week last year ended up being referred and I had to pay an extra £1000 for a CT scan! Before the New year! I found it so hard to plan Christmas last year too. So, I really do sympathise with everyone still waiting- all I can say is that it's been so worth it, to finally be together in the same country without a time limit as such even if it's still temporary. I hope you have a great trip here and that everything works out for you soon too

Hi Nikisha, yes I was given the bridging visa A when my application was lodged. Although it's not active until my 300 expires on 24th October. Otherwise things are going well thank you; still loving married life and that helps me feel settled too because I can still remember how hard it was to be apart. Good luck for December!

Been a while since anyone posted here so, fingers crossed everyone is doing ok. Quick update from me; finally lodged my 820 application this week and got my bridging visa (for anyone wondering you are issued with bridging visa A once you apply but have to apply for a bridging visa B if you need to leave Australia) for now it's back to the waiting.

Congrats! I've literally just applied for my 820 from a pmv 300 also British citizen very impressed with your timeline, so keeping fingers crossed for mine and others who are waiting.

I do sympathise; I ended up taking a much lower offer on mine in the end because my buyer played a great game ? and I couldn't ever see an end to it probably not my finest hour or decision but at the time it was the best I could do and of course everything looks different with hindsight. All I can say is that all of the heartache does count in the end because you and your partner know how much you've been tested...something people in conventional relationships hardly ever face little consolation I know ?

That's bad news Cep, but you still have a bit of time fingers crossed and you never know things can move really quickly once they get underway ?

I'm not sure that I can offer anything really helpful here...have you considered getting some specific advice from an agent? I know it's an extra cost but might be worth it if it puts your mind at rest ?

Hoping so too, fingers crossed for everyone waiting. As for the stage 2 I'm sure it's just not having that same sense of urgency that does for it really ?

Still on my pmv at the moment and trying to stay motivated with the stage 2 forms but finding it tough going ?

Just reading your post Noodlejaffa, and everyone who is still waiting, and I feel your pain! I'm sure it will be little consolation but I was in exactly the same position as you this time last year...in fact we had already had to change our wedding date early on as the processing times changed dramatically just before we applied. Really I guess I wanted to say...hang in there! it does happen...my pmv 300 was granted in UK in January; 5 months and 10 days after lodging and we were finally married on 16th June in a lovely ceremony which (like you) I couldn't even bear to plan for until the last minute, because I thought I might jinx the outcome! Take heart everyone my thoughts are with you all - don't forget to keep posting the updates it's good to hear how everyone is managing ? xx

TheWayOfThePony, thanks for the hints and tips! ? I hadn't thought about using receipts from the wedding itself as evidence so that's brilliant! Our celebrant was really on the ball and we got our certificate a few days after the wedding so all ok there...interesting about the visa processing times, I'd actually noticed that from posts on here too hopefully ours will go through as quick ?

I must admit it is harder this time to stay motivated and focus on the next part, because essentially we have what we wanted and are still just enjoying the novelty of ordinary domestic life together instead of being literally half a world apart! I'm also very aware that the time is ticking away on the pmv though so I need to get serious with it now.
