Can't believe it! We got our golden email today! PMV 300 granted through London - perfect timing as I fly to Adelaide next Wednesday. Guess I'd better get on with organising our wedding which is happening in 11 weeks time 😱😊

I don't think the news has really sunk in yet as I got the email 10 minutes before I started work so quickly spoke to my partner over in Oz then have been flat out since then. Still in shock!

Good luck to you all out there!

Congratulations Noodlejaffa. Very good timing for you. Best of luck for your future in Oz.

  2. I agree Jon. We all have stuff that would be a lot easier if we had the golden email or just knowledge of when they would look at the application but this is the problem with something so opaque. We have to just stay as positive as we can and put in place what we can in the meantime.
Laf - you will defo need the Aus checks so maybe get those completed so you know you have a decision ready application.... i assume you have front loaded???
Fingers crossed these requests mean we are starting to get some movement and we all hear soon

I think we'll wait to see if we definitely need all three checks. Both of us left Aus 35 years ago and I only lived there for 7 years. Also if we wait till asked we'll know they'll be looking out for them rather than just adding them as new attachments without knowing if they've already looked at our applications.
    Good luck to everyone.
  3. Hi folks, I applied for my 309/100 at the beginning of April and had my first contact in the form of an email at the end of last week asking me for additional info.....despite my partner (sponsor) leaving Oz when he was four, they have requested an Australian police check and and also one from the UK, it’s good to see some activity and I hope others who applied around the same time hear something soon.

Such good news mhaffie. Not long now. It looks like things are taking a turn for the better.

I have had no movement whatsoever and the immiaccount waiting time has gone up to 14 - 17 months!  Very frustrating and seems like no-one on here has had any movement either. I'm only on 2 months and 10 days so that's obviously not very long, but still really hard not knowing!

I thought it had increased by a month but it's still showing the same 14-16 months.

Wow! That’s awesome news Jon the Hat! I looked last night and it was still 21 to 26 months! Great news to wake up to! Fingers crossed!

Great news.  It would be good if it reverts to the beginning of the year's 11 - 13 months or less.  Many of us have been waiting around five months or longer without any communication.

You're right Jon, the notification document within the Immi system about the medical just shows automatically once the fee has been paid, and the acknowledgement is the same, it's an auto-generated document once the fee is paid. The medical notification in Immi is not the official email request from a CO. I actually think this confuses a lot of people.

It certainly confused me.  I went ahead with the medical straight away!

How did you add the footnote to your profile?

  7. Partner 309 – applied offshore via the London Office.

I'm British, husband Australian, married 30 years, two dual nationality children.

    Submitted 17.03.18 (status Received)
    Sponsorship 17.03.18 (status Submitted)
Medical Completed 21.03.18 (following automated request)
    Medical Clearance 24.03.18
    ACRO uploaded 01.05.18

At the time my application was submitted many visas were granted in 3-4 weeks even though the processing times stated 11-13 months. They increased to 12-16 months and now stand at 21-26 months. I initially thought the increased times were for new applications but it sounds as if they affect even existing applicants. I haven’t received any communication or been allocated a case officer.

  8. Hi Mhaffie

I was just being paranoid, I think I did it correctly.  It does say they will contact you if they need further information rather than just cancelling the application!  I also received the acknowledgement and reference no.

As you say it's easy to upload the report to the application, it just made me think there was some advantage in waiting for the case officer to send it to them direct. I checked how to attach it and can see it needs to be uploaded under Character evidence of, Overseas police clearance - national.

I've read they may ask the sponsor for an Australian police check.

It's a lovely day and going to be hot tomorrow but we don't have your lovely beaches to enjoy.

I'm applying now but it asks if I have been appointed a case officer, which I haven't.  Do you think this means it's better to wait?

My application's sent.  Glad it's done as I found it a bit stressful wondering if I'd done everything properly.  When you attach the docs you can't view them. Did you say your partner has submitted a sponsor certificate too?
