They just updated the processing times on the website - Obviously processing recent applications to look better on their processing times. Good one immigration
.
186 Employer Nomination Scheme Direct Entry 10 months 15 months 186 Employer Nomination Scheme Temporary Residence Transition 8 months 9 months Great thank you for that. What the hell is going on in that office! Love to know the formula for calculating times. Surely there is someone on this forum is actively working in DIBP....
And yes i agree! What a load of codswallop

I noticed on the spreadsheet that an application from March and from June have been processed. Fingers crossed they have started work on the backlog!
For some reason I have a good feeling about this. Lets hope my instincts are right!

and to be complete (and fair), I am sure the immigration services do their best and chose the most efficient way to process the applications. They had 16.000 applications lodged in June 2017, this is a huge number!
Unfortunately Im in June. I have tried to come up with a rationale and prediction of when they will start going through those files again but according to this forum and the spreadsheet, the earlier part of the year and late 2016 has been left behind for some time yet.

I have been told by my MA that everything has been hold back due to the March changes. They are processing it i a very slow space.Besides, my friend who is a doctor only received her nomination approval after 14 months
Can you elaborate on "hold back"? I can't see the logic but maybe Im missing something...

Do you know how case officer was allocated? Do you know occupation we apply is effect a processing time?
Mine is lodged on 28 Mar under 186TRT as accountant but still didn't heard anything. My colleague who lodged in May 17 under engineer, he received a grant from immigration on Jan18. I used to ask MA they said depends on application. It seems I can't do anything much only be patient and keep waiting.
You can do nothing!

This is what my MA said after the countless email I sent
”All applications are stalled at the moment sadly, the upcoming March changes have caused huge delays across all visa subclasses.”
I wonder if he has that in writing from them or has just made the assumption.
If they are so stalled that should be reflected in the processing times and communicated properly!

Hi guys,
does anyone know how long it takes the department to response to our email. Emailed them on Tuesday this week, and have not received any answers.
They usually don't reply.
Depends on your inquiry and what email address you used? Did you get an automated response?

Hi friends I will complete my 2 years with my employer this month but I have applied for direct entry in last February so is there any possibility to change it to transition stream?
I looked into this and the answer was no sorry

Having said the above - we must remember that we on this forum are only a small segment of applicants (and most likely the most frustrated as we are looking to share our anguish on daily basis!), and that as I write this, people are getting grant letters.
Thats what I'm trying to tell myself anyway!

... May/June 2017, aka once people had got their apps together immediately after the Turnbull government's announcements?
Good observation

A friend of mine thinks the huge influx of applications in May/June 2017 has been sidelined strategically. Not sure why its strategic but they had 16,000 applications in June alone according to their newsletter back in November. That is not an insignificant increase in volume.

For the purpose of the spreadsheet, yes we are still waiting. Nomination, 17 & 1/2 months application 17 months. hairdresser de LR offshore can someone up date please.
Puts my 8 monthS into perspective. Its looking like I need to move to a new employer and transfer my 457 visa next month so its been a pointless wait regardless. No PR for me because of DHA!
Have to try and get a partner visa in 2 years with the mrs. What a nightmare. Paid 140k in tax since i arrived as well. Go figure!

I'm not sure if there's any use even speculating on the system/strategy in place here, but i can't help but ponder. Perhaps there had been a few cases submitted back in April 2016 which are now proving very difficult to either grant or refuse, and so newer cases are cherry picked/favoured over the ones in between in order to bring averages down for the sake of audits?
If the spreadsheet is up to date it seems like a pretty illogical pattern of activity! or perhaps it's simply not up to date? I wonder how many are actually in progress and just not updated on there.
Its definitely illogical!
-
Also Im not very good with excel but June is definitely wrong on the summary sheet.
Only showing 7 pending applications which is clearly not the case!

What are everyones thoughts on having a clean up of the spreadsheet? I see a few people including myself have updated their entry to say that they are still waiting. Think thats a pretty good idea. I imagine there is a good portion of people who have received their visa and then left the forum. Might bring a bit of a hope having a spring clean!
Perhaps after a month of being asked if they are still waiting they can be given a different colour or moved to the bottom? Just a thought anyway.-

There does seem to be an increased rate of updates at the moment I've noticed. Fingers crossed!

Are there any marketing specialists out there still waiting? There are a few on the sheet.
I recently just passed the 8 month mark, TRT Marketing Specialist, LR. No sponsor approval or visa update as yet. Employer is an approved sponsor (2nd largest employer in Victoria!).
Cheers

Haha. Makes me laugh because its all so tragic. Im in 8.5 months roughly and haze zero faith or getting it before 12 months. When I saw they were processing a few earlier ones over the last few days on the spreadsheet I foolishly had a glimmer of hope...until I saw your comment! There is no logic!
