Dear all, I have two queations here. Does it require IELTS of second 186 second applicant before the decision finalising? my wife studied in Australia for 3years but didn't finish the bachelor degree.

And should I  wait for a co to require health check or have it done earlier? 19/ December/2017 de and visa lodged the same time. anyone has any idea about it? many thanks!

    Hi mate,

Not experts here but my wife had to undertake the IELTS  as well, as the second applicant.
I believe she had to have at least 4 or 5 everywhere (just basic English).

As always...check with your MA :-)

Hello Everyone, I am Rick another silent reader. I spent long time in this forum with you guys.

I got a question and I hope someone can advise me.

I applied the 11 of September 2016 like baker 457 visa. I got it on February 2017 (but with my surprise it was only for 1.5 year my MA didnt tell me anything about it) anyway because of the government changing and my personal situation I decided to apply to 186 DE in August but I was struggle to get the IELTS but finally I applied the and of november 2017.

Now my boss just told me He is going to sell the business in July. Wtf!!! after spent time and money ....

Do you guys think may I have any chance to get the PR before that date? my coworker got PR last year in May (2017) and he lodged on November (2016).

I really thank all of you guys to being part of my life in the last 4 months.

    Rick

    Welcome Rick!

Unfortunately no one, not even the gvt can give you a formal, certain answer.

I think you should start thinking of other solutions in the meantime, while hoping you get the visa approved before the dreaded timeline.

And if your owner is selling, any chance you can get a job with the new one?
    Good luck!

My MA thinks this is a bad idea to complain... What do you think?

I think after 25 months of waiting it's only fair though. As the website say we are not applicants, we are clients. We deserve customer service.

Imagine buying goods for $10k and not receiving them after 2 years!

Always the time frame is changed.they have no fixed time frame.its too bad for us.they not understand in our emotion

    Too true.
My colleague with the same occupation, same job as me got approved his visa on Friday last week.

He applied in September 17, 4 months AFTER me.

Luck of the draw, so far unlucky :-)

My second question is that by reading many posts on the forum it seems the average wait time from the day of lodgement is over 8 months in most cases but most approved cases on the spreadsheet from July '17 onwards average around only 4 to 6 months. Am I missing something here?

    Hello.

I can answer the 2nd question.

What we have been seeing for almost all months is that 20-25% of people get their visa approved within 6 months (usually on the medium term list).

Then there is a dry spell of 3-4 months

Then we see approvals again at 10-12 months.

For July itself it simply looks like they weren't a lot of applicants from our forum. Because the rules had changed 1st of July, a lot of us tried to apply beforehands.

    Hope that helps!
    Cheers
