  1. Hi guys Anyone waiting since march 2019? Looks like most of the application after june/july is getting processed sooner . Well everyone's case is different but are there anyone on the same boat?
  2. Hi @Hex This article says whoever , working full time are required to pay a medical levy. But my medical levy was not deducted on previous years on 457 visa. Do you reckon it is because i applied for 186 trt now? And another quick question. If i have to pay medicare levy anyway can i opt out from my private health insurance and apply for a medicare card instead ?
  3. I have not applied for one so I don't have one. Do you know what it would be under my circumstances?
  4. Hi guys. Should one still pay medical levy if they have a private health insurance on a bridging visa A? I am entitled for provisional medicare card but i have not used medicare card yet. Can anyone help me out please?
  5. Hey Lovi In which way did you get a request for a medical ? I mean is it automated message or they send it to you manually? I got an automated message for medical from immi . My nomination has not been approved yet. I don't know how long one has to wait for nomination after medical too. That's surprising that your nomination was approved before medical
  6. I got a message from MA saying "It was not a formal request from the Department whatsoever. The system generate automatic notification for all applicant to provide necessary documents including medical examination and police clearance as ENS section want all documents decision ready (they don’t want to send request notification)." But i saw other's post regarding request for medicals. Looks like i got a automated request . Did you get an automated request too?
  7. Hi guys Can anyone tell me when they got a request for a medical ,how long did they had to wait for the nomination roughly?
  8. I did not generate one. If she did not do it then probably it is a request from the immi. Does that mean a step closer or anything like that?
  9. That would be awesome. But she didn't said anything regarding nomination. I applied in 11th of march.
  10. I did not personally accessed my immi account. Now i am confused if they requested for a helth check up or my MA did that on her own. However , she just said that it was a good news and forwarded me the e referral letter along with HAP id. Do you know if MA can generate a HAP id or do they need to be requested by immi?
  11. Hi guys I got an email from my MA saying that department is expediting all ENS visas. She did not gave me any reasons but said it was a good news . I think it is due to ending of financial year soon. I applied for visa at 11 th of March. I got a request for a medical check last week.Sorry for a dumb question, but does that mean anything?
  12. Well after the press release from department of immigration and border protection itself and speech from immigration minister promising about granfathering arrangement in the beginning , i do not think it was a rocket science to figure this out that this outcome was certain. I don't want to go on and on about it . I am happy it worked out well for everyone . Good on you.
  13. "As previously advised, from March 2018, individuals who were existing subclass 457 visa holders (or subclass 457 applicants) as at 18 April 2017 will continue to have access to an employer sponsored pathway to permanent residence. Detailed information in relation to the transitional provisions is not, however, yet available. I don't have anything to say if you believe we cannot believe on the news release of australian immigation itself. Since you are a "professional" please expalin what does "as at 18 April 2017 will continue to have access to an employer sponsored pathway to permanent residence" means. Work is still in progress to provide further policy clarification regarding TRT transitional caseloads for March 2018. We hope to be able to provide additional advice on this in the next edition of the newsletter. The FAQs on the website will also be updated when this information is available." Detailed information is not available because "THEY ARE STILL WORKING ON THE POLICY " . Because it's not march 2018 march yet.
  14. I have seen professionals who make a business out for themselves out of others misery. I am an individual who did enough research for my own good. I am only trying to share what i have learnt. I don't have a firm or i am an immigration agent. I didn't hire an so called "expert" because i was sick and tired of them providing misleading information and sucking out every penny that i had saved. If you have any questions please ask as its a discussion if you have something useful to say. Please share.
  15. You are safe my friend because like i have written earlier "granfathering" means uneffected by new rules in terms of law. And when you got your 457 visa the age limit was not 45 years which means under your case, it still applies to you and you will have a full right to apply for residency under TRT . They have said they will make it more clear when the implimentation dates are near in their FAQ. But i am totally positive in your case.
  16. There is no way that existing 457 will be assessed under new rules because the term "granfathering " in terms of law itself mean unaffected by the new rules. Plus some of the occupations of the existing holders are out of new list and some have moved to short term or completely out of the list. If you are thinking under new rules it will be three years for transition to PR thats impossible . Now, in this latest new update if they have said under transitional arrangement existing holder will still be allowed to transition into PR i am certain they mean it's under the same old terms and condition. Fingers crossed.
  17. Please go through the link ,Aron has provided with. On the topic "transitional arrangement" its clearly mentioned that they will be employer sponsored pathways to the permanent residency like stated earlier.
