Hello everyone, I ve been silently following the forum from last couple of weeks and these days im so close to leave my patience.

    Occupation- chef

Applied visa and nomination- 15 dec 2017. Country -LR . Trt 186.

Ive been checking my immi account more than 10 times a day. It says received and processing time 11 to 12 months. Its nearly 5 months now. Cause of this waiting period Every single day is killing me.

I've been waiting 17 Months! You could be one of the lucky ones but i'd say you have a few months wait ahead of you. But you never know with Immigration. They are not consistent. Best of luck.

    Hey guys...

I FINALLY received the golden email.... I can't be more happy.. My PR has been granted :)

    • Occupation: Marketing
    • Direct Entry
    • Onshore
    • LR
    • Nomination / Visa application lodged in December 2016... (Yeah long time ago... LOL)
    • Nomination and visa approved on same day.
    • No extra requested documents

I've been addicted to this forum and my immigration account over the last 17 months...Way too much! believe me :)  It has been helpful sometimes but I've been also very upset when people provides misleading information or when people shares weird theories (example: Only unskilled people waits long time, only people who works for small companies etc etc

this is mostly Bulls***** :) and very irritating to read :)   I guess,  this is just luck of the draw seriously

I can now enjoy my freedom and good luck to everyone, but especially to people who have been waiting forever.

I keep my fingers crossed for the 2016 applicants!!!!!! :)

    @AJSAJS: You're NEXT!!!!!!! :)

I'm so so happy for you! I fully understand the stress. I bet you are still in shock. What a wonderful outcome after all that wait. Have an awesome weekend and celebrate till you drop. I hope I am next. Thank you!

It hasn't got my visa granted in the time frame no but it sure has hell has made my journey a lot lighter.

'Realistic" is a classic negative person term!

Look guys- i really don't expect to be ridiculed for being positive ...

Coming on here to see whinging and complaining rather then encouragement and support is soul destroying...

I don't pick on every post i don't agree with and pull it apart ... perhaps i should though... seems to be totally okay on this forum of love and happiness!!!

This forum is here for people to look for advice and its also ok for them to vent their frustrations. Unfortunately you cant control the content. Darling I'm not ridiculing you for being Positive, all I'm saying is allow people to express how they feel without you ridiculing them for not feeling like you do. You calling people Un-positive and Negative is not very encouraging. The ridiculing is clearly on your side alone. I hope you don't end up waiting 17 months, see how you feel in 6 months time and come back to me. Like I said were all in very different situations. Just let people say what they want. Its not personal its just frustration directed at DIBP process. We're entitled to be frustrated and entitled to voice that, just like you are entitled to be positive, no one is trying to take that away from you. Like I said in my previous post "We’re all in this together. Lets lend a hand of support and encouragement and not make this long and stressful situation any harder". Best of luck.

Well said. Lets keep the good vibes up as much as possible although its bloody hard.

P.S - I reckon you are going to get yours this week. Lets see if im right!

I have some bets going on for that exact reason. I'm less encouraged that it will be this week and I'm basing that on the 28 day rule (if its even a rule). Wherever you are you will hear me scream either way. Best of luck  to everyone.

Only an un-positive person would be factual in an area in which time and time again has proven itself to be completely sporadic and luck of the drawer! No body knows how they allocate files - its a mystery.... so being positive in the lottery of visa applications i find some what warming ... Its also worked so far for me :-)

Its more about being realistic than negative. The people who these time frames are true for, are seriously the lucky ones. Good on them. Hopefully no one else has to wait like me for 17 months (and still waiting). My file has been opened at least, but some people they have been waiting 16+ months and have not heard a single word. Understandably this is where the positivity starts to slip away.

All our situations differ too, some are in a rush to move on, some luckier ones are happy to wait. We’re all in this together. Lets lend a hand of support and encouragement and not make this long and stressful situation any harder.

    Also....

WTF with these visa timeline changes. Its like every time I get close to the 90% number, they push it back a month. If I believed in God I would be seriously questioning his/her motives right now. Literally taking the piss.

I agree. I've been waiting almost 17 months! I now take all of that Timeline "Standards" with a pinch of salt. It means nothing. Taking the piss is putting it lightly.

Hey guys, I couldn't be more happy.... My PR has been granted!

I'm so sorry for the people who have been waited for a long time, I know it's not fair that some people are approved quicker but hold strong, your time will come!

Brilliant news. Congratulations. Your Bot post made us all laugh, so thanks for that. Enjoy your freedom. Well done.

Has anyone here called  131881 (IMMI ENQUIRY NUMBER) and has it done anything? Positive or negative? I hear that some people say it helped them and some say it doesn't.

    Just found this online :

    https://migrationalliance.com.au/immigration-daily-news/entry/2017-03-131-881-harming-the-lives-of-australian-visa-applicants-one-visa-at-a-time.html

I wouldn't bother, especially after reading that article. You clearly cant take what the say as truth or knowledge. Some poor guy was told he had a case Officer assigned and went off doing all his medicals etc only to find it wasn't true! Shocking!

I asked my MA to contact the department as the processing times have dropped to 13 months tops. They replied that

    "

Please note, the following message provided by the Department of Immigration’s Permanent Employer Sponsorship section:

“No response will be provided to enquiries in relation to an application status update, processing timeframes, pre-lodgement or non-PESE related matters”

If you would like to see a copy of the message, please send a blank email to nsw.pse@homeaffairs.gov.au. You will receive an automated response with information about Subclass 186 processing.

The automated response will also provide information about which applications are currently being processed. As of today, the section is processing applications lodged between June 2016 to March 2017."

So they consider it's not a good Idea to contact them yet as all the information is there. But it seems my application is in limbo and this is very stressful as the status is still "Received" On the 23rd it will be 15 months waiting

No surprise there. There is absolutely no point in them publishing timeframes at all. Serves no purpose and misleads already stressed minds! I have just sent an email to my Migration agent asking them to contact my allocated case office and ask them what is happening. They now have everything they asked for. I cant imagine waiting any longer. I see some people wait a day and some wait a few more months after submitting documents. It's all very confusing. You may be granted (like others have) without them asking you for any documentation. Fingers crossed for all of us.
