I presume this is the wait time for those who apply now, or do I have that wrong ?

Your absolutely right - just sit back and let it run its course. It just gets stressy when it get close to your turn. When I applied for the 143 in June 22 2015 they told me it would take between 18 and 24 months and here I am at 39 months later. All checks done and medicals, but it is now stuck with Centrelink and still no case officer. But, Boy Oh Boy will it be worth it when it comes to our turn ? Hold on in there and enjoy all around you whilst you can

Mine went in on the 22nd June 15, all forms filled in , police check done, medicals done, application to Assurance 15 May - it's all gone quite and no case officer as yet - fingers crossed ? But as you say it is so stressful and only because no one in officialdom can tell you anything !!

Hi Brian Many thanks for writing. Wow 30 months. Looks like I have a way to go yet as my application went in in June 2015. And there is just no way to speed these thing up ! What a great adventure awaits you. We are hopefully going to end up in Tasmania and simply can't wait to get it all done and get on with things. All the very best of luck Brian and thanks again. Hello Everyone New here - first post Just wondering about two things regarding the 143 parent visa. Does the new parent visa announcements (July 1st 2017) affect the old 143 parent visa. I applied for mine in 2015 and still awaiting process. Does anyone know how long they normally take to process and if there is a way to speed the process. Sorry if these questions have been asked before but could not find a relevant thread many thanks Dillon
