How can they sponsor you for DE if the job is only available for a specific period of time? One of the conditions of the DE 186 visa is that your job must be available at least 2 years after your PR is granted.

I was hoping that immigration department will speed up processing in the new financial year but obviously not. Nothing is happening this week ?

My MA said exactly the same. It is too risky. If anything goes wrong while being overseas the immigration department may not allow you to enter the country again, not even to pick up your private things. Also, you may have to re-do the medical and police clearance once you go overseas depending where you travel to. It is not worth it risking your PR.

I'm still waiting from beginning of November and call Immi almost every week for an update but nothing! It is and always will be a random allocation process.

Does anyone have experience with a bridging visa B (will allow me to travel overseas) while waiting for PR? Will that delay or negatively affect my DE 186 application?

Congrats!!! Is immigration department working on Sundays? How come your PR was granted on a Sunday???
