For those of us still waiting excessively long time and have had our docs expire. I would say just get them done again, before CO asks for them. Though medicals can't be done again until after CO does ask for it. However by what Simarjot stated his PR was still granted with a 4 month expired medical. Mine was done in February 2016. As my Ma has told me , medical renewals are up to individual COs discretion.

As advised by immi I have supplied all required docs with the initial submission. My application has been dragging on for over a year. Many docs are only valid for 12 months and now I've had to spend time and money getting new docs done. It really is a money making scam by the government and the big businesses involved. As we immigrants have. So much at stake we are we sure are getting the rough end of the pineapple!

Might be worth complaining to your local federal member of parliament. Dont know if it will make any difference but if many people start making noise about how we are be rorted by the immi Dept then maybe something will happen.

Restaurant Mgr de ive called them up many times. It makes no difference. If this level were to be given to Australia citizens then there would be an outcry. It's just that we are up against a wall , having paid our fees to the Australian state and Australian private companies and have no alternatives that they can get away with this.

What responses do you guys get when you phone for updates from immi?

I met my Ma several weeks back. He showed me a list of some of his clients on this same visa application who applied in December and January. They are still waiting for decision!!!!

Ma said we can only wait till file opens. It shouldn't be too long.

Sahibb I've called immi many times. Its impossible to get any details from them. The standard answer is that "case officer will be in touch should he need further information ". Though now they tell me that my "file is being processed." When I ask if case officer has been allocated they say no. They won't even tell what they mean by "being processed".
