  1. My MA has had a couple of his clients do this. They cannot afford to stay in limbo for so long and have decided to withdraw their application and return back home.
  2. Thanks dandy. Good to know. I was thinking that this visa process my take weeks.
  3. Thanks for that. So , for many of us who have medical expired over 6 months this means we have to spend more time and money getting them redone. ?! this whole pr thing with its language tests, medicals police checks etc etc seems to be a big money spinning cartel between the govt and private companies. Oh well, knowing that we are at the bottom of the pile of Australian society there's not much we can do but fork out more cash.
  4. Hi. Any of you guys know how long it takes these days to get issued a bridging B visa , so that we can travel abroad?
  5. Congratulations mate. Best of luck for getting the visa approval.
  6. I think what they are doing are rejecting applications that have incomplete supporting documents. Ie AFP checks , BAS statements. Medicals etc. another thing that may be happening with this visa is more and more people deciding to withdraw their applications because they don't want to be in this limbo for one and a half years. They just is no certainty, especially if you have children.
  7. Exactly in same situation. I've been thinking about moving for ages. But with our uncertain situations we just can't afford to take on such commitments. Ive even been putting off some repairs to my car , thinking if I get pr I'll buy a new one or if no pr then I can just sell it cheap. But don't know how long things are going to drag on for.
  8. When speaking to immi one thing she mentioned was that even when a file is being assessed they do not always update your immi account to show that. So your file may be allocated, assessed and further info requested but when you check your file it shows no change. I know someone who was on another visa . He had is file allocated and assessed and pr granted but the immi account showed no change till three weeks after he got his pr. !
  9. I'm qld restarant Mgr 19-March 16 de nom & visa onshore 3 person low risk my ma is saying the same as everyone else's Ma. There not much they can do once file has been lodged. Everyone is struggling in the same boat. Ive called and emailed many times , but always the same standard response. Just need to wait.
  10. Darn.... and I thought I was holding some kind of record on this forum for the longest applicant. ?
  11. I'm from 19 March 2016. Dont think there is anyone on this forum before that.
  12. I spoke to immi today. The girl on the phone told me that my file has been allocated to a team since may this year and is being actively assessed. I asked for details of the case officer but she said there is no individual co, but rather a team. However, immi account has not changed since I lodged my application in March 2016, neither has anyone from immigration been in touch with my Ma or myself not my employer Getting somewhat confused and concerned now.
  13. Back in June /July My agent had a couple of cases from December 2015 as well. Don't know if they have been processed yet.
  14. Ok. That's new to me. Immi have always told me they can only give nomination details to either the Ma or employer.
  15. No. Nomination is to do with the immigration dept and your employer. Only they can request details regarding nomination progress.
  16. The stress and anxiety is so high there is not much we can say. It's not even the case where we can really advise each other, we're all stuck in the same boat.
  17. It makes no difference. My MA can't get any information out of the department either.
  18. Yep. Still here. Haven't gone anywhere. 19 March 16 restaurant Mgr qld lr de 187 3 person
  19. Almost 18th month and all quiet on the western front. Not a squeak or a creak or a peep from our friends in immi.
  20. So my assumption is this: 1. Ensure that your applications are 'decision ready'. All this about tactically uploading police check etc at a later date so that they are still valid a year later does not work. Upload ALL docs and then let them expire, then pay more money to get more recent docs and upload again. 2. For those of us who have been waiting many months ( ,since mid-march 2016 in my case) ,this is a slight glimmer of good news in sofar as I can assume my my correct and sufficient documents are uploaded. And that immi hasn't had the need to refuse my application because of lack of paperwork. I hope that makes sense. Long day at work!!! Happy Waiting!!
