  1. Hi Manson, afraid not. This was all handled by my MA agent so I had no access or visibility on the Immi account. All I know is it took almost 6 weeks from the date the docs were requested to the visa being approved. Have you had any request for info yourself?
  2. Guys, best news ever! My PR was finally granted today! Timeline: 186 ens 2 people LR Nom & visa applied 29th June 2016 Nom approved: 14 Jan 2017 Additional police check and declaration requested and submitted 27 Jan Visa approved: 22 Feb 2017 Thank you everyone for keeping me sane, this forum has been amazing and I wish you all the luck with your applications, especially the April 2016 warriors! Xxx
  3. Meh. 5 weeks after nomination was approved and additional docs submitted and still nothing. Takes sooo long.
  4. Hey guys, still waiting! So as stated in an earlier post, my nomination was approved on 16th Jan. Immi requested more information on my fellas police check and the payment stat dec. We provided the information straight away to our MA and just found out they only submitted it to immi on 27th jan. Slightly frustrated to say the least. Will keep you posted. Good luck guys, hopefully February will be full of approvals!
  5. Just read the Nomination approval letter... it was actually approved 14 January and my MA has only just sent it over! Doh.
  6. Thanks guys! @jazz1985 applied onshore, transition. My occupation is client services manager for a small sized company in Sydney. No docs requested for nomination approval, it went straight to approved. Just the docs for visa. MA requested we have docs back to her by 8th Feb (will have it done tonight ha) but I know it can take 21 days for immi to get back to your file after docs requested.
  7. Hey guys, Just had an email from MA! My nomination was approved today! They have requested more information regarding my partners police check and also a signed declaration to say we haven't paid employer for 186. I'll update the spreadsheet when i get back to my computer but just wanted to share the good news! So bloody happy right now x
  8. Hey! Nice to see someone else in the same role! We'd be classed as 'standard application' I'm afraid. She thinks a 30th june LR application will go through jan/feb so just a waiting game really. I also asked if we should complete form 80 as heard a lot of people saying it was requested but apparently these were mandatory only till June 2015 and 99% of her clients have received 186 without it. Yay. Good luck guys!
  9. Hey guys, I asked my MA yesterday why the processing order is so out of whack. She said there's a number of factors. So when an application is lodged for an occupation that is deemed 'more in demand by govt', it flags in the system and potentially gets pushed up in the que. The occupations that are more easily filled, cooks, project mangers etc (pls note she was JUST using these occupations as examples...) they get processed as normal. Also, each case worker is assigned a number of files. Once they have completed these files, they are then assigned another batch. As case workers work at different speeds and depending on the complexity of the files they are working on, more often than not, a case worker may get more recent files whilst their co worker is still on an older batch. Does that make sense? I'm not sure how true this is but it does kinda make a lot of sence as to how the apps are being allocated. Again, this is just MAs experiance.
  10. Hi Whiplash, My housemate (UK) and her partner (Aus res) applied for the 801/820 themselves... they had been together 4years (WHV and 801) which was fine. Unfortunately, the 820 was processed in June and denied. They provided everything from leases, joint bank account, photos, stat decs etc. They have now got a migration agent to help but this is costing twice as much as it would have if they had gone via agent for the application in the first place. The visa is pretty bloody expensive in itself but from personal experience, I'd say its worth paying the extra money now and have a professional ensure your application is watertight. Another friend of mine applied for offshore partner visa from UK via migration agent and this granted with barely any evidence (they were both intraverts - refused to have pics taken, no social media account, no joint assets or bank account etc) - the migration agent just work his magic to present the application in the best way possible and got a PR visa granted. Again, this is just personal experience but migration agents can be worth every penny
  11. Hey guys, Looking like today is another slow day for visa grants So just noticed on the spreadsheet that someone got their PR after only 5 months? Wonder if this is a typo or an actual glimmer of hope? 12. I thought so to! My MA hinted that NOV-DEC are the busiest months for Immi due to the increase in WHVs. Apparently WHV are pushed to the front of the line to increase harvest production (backpackers generally go straight for the farm work) so us lil folk waiting on PR are kept in a holding pattern. Again, this was just hinted at by the MA so I don't know how true it is!
  13. Hi all, I applied for my 186 Transitional visa/nomination on 29 June 2016. No news yet but my MA told me yesterday that the file should be opened in January. Not sure if it helps but its with the NSW PESE team. Will keep you posted!
