  1. Just wondering, so how the new ones will apply Rsms if the new changes takes effect on March 2018. They need 3 years of work experience after graduation? If they apply Graduate skilled visa first that will only give them 2.5 years. Still not enough. So those people only from overseas that has skills assessment can apply now and/or those in transition 186-187?

  3. True! We are like a prisoner in our own body and mind. They don't know the gravity of our situation. We wasted so much time fighting for our residency that we forgot to enjoy and celebrate life.
  4. True. My friend petition her parents in Italy and the processing time only takes 1 month. The immi is wasting our time big time! They don't care at all! All they care is just they get paid each week.
  5. I dont know what immi is really doing to us. Why they can't just tell us really how long it will take! Not like keep on increasing the waiting period every month. Honestly they don't need 14 months to process our visa if it's pretty much decision-ready in 2 hours they can make a decision that's their job that's what they do everyday, they are the ones who made the rules.. and we comply each one of them. We invested money, time and effort on our application. We gave everything we got and now they keep on changing their own rules after we had lodged our visas. It's really unfair and inhuman.
  6. 219 days just before Christmas guys! Immi wakey wakey!! We also have a life just in case you don't know.
  7. In addition, I've been to a regional so I can say I know what's happening first hand. Some people wants to move there so that they can get money from the gov't coz theirs no job available for the region so gov't can't find them a job, so they loved staying there doing nothing and just go to Centrelink. If they sponsor foreigners they can abused them they will be working 80 hours a week but only get paid for 40 hours and you can't complain coz you want to keep your PR. if they hire locals they don't last and they keep on training people every month that's no good in business and they are lazy they have no motivation like us because we want to stay we do everything.
  8. I understand where you coming from. In a small restaurant let say the position can't be open for you for a year of waiting, no employer will do that for you unless you are very skilled, but for like resorts who are operating in an island or in a really remote area where they can only fill up people by sponsorship, it will work, coz the people they have sponsored will leave them eventually after the 2 years requirements so they better lodge now a new one so that before that person leaves they have already backup candidates.
  9. Rsms takes 14 months to process. It's a joke!! Other visas takes 2 years to process like partner visa, parents visa, refugees, etc.. but we are not like them and our processing times are almost close to them! We have employers desperately waiting for us coz they can't find someone to work for them and it's affecting their business big time! We are a hard working people. We even studied in Australia as an international students and spent thousands of dollars! We contributed paying thousands of tax over the years! We pay more visa fees than them! We even need to sit an English exam many times and has an expiration date like seriously how come your English will degraded over the years. We have a job waiting for us already and they have everything already they need visa fees and all the documents. What else do they want. Didn't we suffer enough working hard saving and spending it only for visas and English exams?
  10. If you read back they say it depends on CO if they will ask for a new one, some Medicals had expired for 4 months but still got their visas.
  11. The remaining 10% falls under 15 months I guess and those people that have other issues.
  12. It became 14 months now!! Unbelievable!! When I left last year it only takes 7 months then when I'm near 7 months it became 9 months then when I'm near 9 months it became 11-12 months then now it's my 12 months and it became 14 months.
  13. They are all connected/linked mate.. Centrelink, ATO and other gov't offices/organisations..
  14. I believe that! It helps with the integrity of your agent/recruitment agency reputation in the past.
  15. I'm guessing if you apply in a restaurant where it's busy but not enough turnovers and CO can see that theirs no need to sponsor in that region your chances is slim. But if it's a resort, hotel or pub where the revenue of the company is not solely coming from the restaurant and they showing lots of turnovers coming from accomodation, casinos, package tour, etc you have a good chance. For example, in the pub I used to work before the restaurant is not making any profit but we still need to operate because of the people playing pokie machines and the business revenue is good coming all from all this pokies machine. Another example is the 4 star hotel I used to work before too. I'm the breakfast chef there and breakfast is cheap we don't earn profit but we still need to open coz of the guest staying in the hotel that needs breakfast in the morning. They won't stay there if they knew they have to dress up and walk a few kilometres just to get breakfast, so we need to open even it's not making any money, but if you look at the hotels revenue a day it's $20,000.
  16. Anyone on May 2016 applicant got contacted already by case officer?
  17. Immi is the author of all my pain. Waiting is horrible and exhausting.
  18. I have come to think of it. If they are saying that 70% of application is processed on the 12 months and 90% of application on the 13th months so it means at this stage is like this: May 2016 applicant - that's 12 months and 70% of applicant should have been processed. April 2016 applicant - that's 13 months and 90% of applicant should have been processed. March 2016 applicant - that's the last 10% of applicant that hasn't been done of the remainder of 90% I assume the March applicants percentage is correct coz we have only two left in this forum, but with the April applicants it's still a bit many of them waiting and if you follow the time frame so it means they have to finish at least half of April who are waiting before the end of this month to make 90% that has been processed, unless they keep on jumping or doing other months. Did you get what I mean? Does it makes sense?
  19. It's really frustrating!!! They are not making progress.
  20. It's hard to tell mate because the months that are delayed now are March and April, and I think they were mostly managers and some cooks. I am a chef too applied in May and I haven't encounter other chef May applicant apart from you who is June. If you look on the list Chef is higher than cooks and managers but if our case will take 13-14 months like them I guess we are the same as them.
  21. Everything you wrote is true but that's how the immi system works. Nurses, engineers, mechanics, etc are the ones getting their visas earlier than hospitality. I work in the kitchen too and even I quit today I have 3 jobs offer the next day.
  22. When we lodged our Rsms we need to submit and signed the new requirement "Declaration Form" that means we didn't pay our employer to sponsor us. The case officer might take long depends your assessment but if they can see it's pretty much straight forward/genuine some of us here got it in 12-13 months. Retail/Restaurant Managers and cooks taking so long because they were the least important on the list.
