  1. If you have a contract with a start date of your job etc, does it speed up the processing time?
If you are talking about 187 rsms direct entry visa then my answer would be probably No.
As in my case my company wanted me to come earlier but immi is least bothered about this .
  2. Good news to share,
    Residency granted yesterday.
March 2018, Childcare room leader. No documents asked.
Hopefully you all have your visas soon.
    thank you
That's such a good news to hear.

Kindly eleboratre how long it took from nominations to Visa and from visa to final result.

Did your status change from initial assessment to further assessment?

Congratulation you have been very lucky in such a small time

  3. Immi sent email to agent on 28 dec
and my agent sent me today.
Visa grant date is 28 dec
Congratulation khalsa ji.. But bro isn't it wierd that how low these MA takes us.
I mean in your case where 1 min seems like 1 year of wait.. your MA didn't tell you your biggest thing for 3 days. Very strange.
  4. As we know, each month DIBP publishes the global visa and citizenship processing times for the previous calendar month. It is important to understand what is the significance of that statistics.

So, what do you know from the global visa and citizenship processing times?

You know what is the maximum time taken for the quickest 75% and 90% grants among all the grants issued during that calendar month.

It is not the average time, it is the worst of the best 75% and 90%, respectively.

It does not necessarily have any relation to the average processing time. For example, hypothetically, if in July, total 100 grants were granted, out of those fastest 74 grants took 3 months, and 75th grant took 11 months, this statistics will show 11 months for the 75% grants.

It has nothing to do with your application date. It just gives you an idea about the last months' grants, some of which might be lodged a month earlier (e.g. processing time 1 month) and some might be a year old (e.g. processing time is 12 months or more). So, a question like "whether my application is affected by this processing time because I lodged X months ago" does not make any sense.

  5. Hey guys
does anyone know how long immigration office closes over Christmas and new year

    Thanks
Even I had the same question.
Someone told me that the holidays will start from 24th of December and will continue officially till 7th of january but they extend it so consider to be almost middle of January.

  6. if your case officer starting to look at your application, the status should be changed from "received" to "initial assessment" OR "further assessment". I guess your application has not allocated to the case officer yet? but also that doesnt make sense because your allocated case officer approve your nomination...
Thanks for the info I just wanted to know how long does it take approximately from initial assessment to further assessment ?

  8. Hi guys,I received my golden mail today.
from March 2017, my life been fluctuated a lot due to this Visa-at first time the MA said it just need 8-10 months. but now is around 21 months now.sometimes I was too nervous and couldn't fall in sleep,  cause I was afraid of lost everything I got.My partner and me are from different country, if I fail to get this Visa, we can't be together anymore, and I spent 5 years in Australia, if I go back to my country that means it's hard to get a new life in this age.
anyway, I'm  so happy and I almost cry when I got the golden mail.
    my time line:
    March 2017 RCB applied.
May 2017 RCB approved.nomination and VISA applied.
1st Nov 2018 nomination approved. AFP,medical test, birth certificate etc, required.
    26th NOV  Documents updated.
7th Nov VISA granted. got the email today.
I want you guys know that how much encourages and faith you gave me. it helps me a lot and  I hope everyone in here can get the thing you want.
    Thank you and best wishes!
    Good to hear positive news.
