Hi Swoosh, i have applied recently to renew my passport and i would suggest you to take an appointment to submit personally rather opting post services, this way you can save upto 10 working days and if any issues with the application you can fix right on the counter and it wont disrupt or delay your 186 processing but the fact is IMMI will not grant visa until you submitted fresh passport.

Good Morning, just logged into my IMMI A/C and get to know that i have been requested more documents (07/06/16) though my MA didn't bother contacting me yet. onething annoying me is that they asked for complete health examination for my three year old baby however he did one before lodgement not sure partial or complete and my fresh passport as my passport has expired sametime my file open..arghhh. now my concern is what if i dont submit my passport within 28 days?? has anyone has this issue before, i welcome any sort of suggestion. thanks

I think they process individually and also it depends on allocation department.

You mean to say they will assess the other documents and CO already asked my MA about expired passport. unfortunately my files open 1 day after my passport expired, otherwise the story would be other way around.

VFS website indiacate 8 weeks. god know how long now. Passport expired means my visa application goes on HOLD or they processed and wait for new passport to grant Visa??? did anybody had this issue in your processing?? Thanks

Hi Every1, Nomination Approved...! cannot process visa application due to my passport expired, unfortunately i have to wait till i get my new passport. anyone knows how expedite indian passport application?? any sort of help would be appreciated. THANKS

@camlucas, you are right about immigration procedure, i was just thinking that immigartion dont give hassle's of visiting to reputed organization. anyway hope for the best.

Hello Honeysahab, you need to advise once you obtain your new passport as it would need to be updated online so your current visa and the new application 186 visa would need to be linked to the new passport. This should not disrupt or delay the processing of your current application. I Hope this will clear your confusion. Thanks
