  1. I guess my story with DIBP is not yet done. On Jan 4 we had our first child and on Jan 6 we got the visa grant. I now have to have our baby added to the visa. She is born offshore. I can only find information before decision situation. There is no information on their websitw otherwise. We had informed them that my wife is pregnant and can't do the x-ray and they granted the visa without waiting for her delivery to be done. Anybody knows how I go about the process of having my baby added?
  2. Hello All, Visa granted - 6/1/2017 Nomination app - 15/9/2015 Nomination grant - 17/4/2016 Visa app - 19/5/2016 Doc's requested - 24/11/2016 Occupation - Laboratory manager Processing centre - WA and NSW Country - LR (Canada) Direct entry Never ever waited for anything this long. Grateful to this forum. Good luck to everyone.
  3. To all the DE applicants: Did you keep on working at your offshore employer until the visa got approved or did you quit and wait? Did anyone have trouble getting references from offshore employer for immigration purposes? Or did you not tell your offshore employer about it at all? My offshore employer has a sniff of the situation since back in nomination stage, VETASSESS had reached out to them to check on my employment details. I had to tell VETASSESS at that time they might not get much information from offshore employer as i am going to a competition in Australia. Skills assessment got approved next day by VETASSESS LOL which reflects that they were waiting for referral from my Canadian employer but when I told them about the situation they didn't bother to wait. Nomination is already approved and I have been asked for police clearance back on Nov 24th which I have submitted on Dec 2nd. Case officer didn't ask for anything else. It's been almost a month and doesnt seem like I am getting visa until January next year. But I am a bit paranoid that case officer may be taking so much time because they may be looking for reference from my current employer and obviously that may not be upto their expectations or the current employer is again not providing anything just the way they acted with VETASSESS, as I am planning to leave for their competition in Australia. Should I reach out to case officer just like I did to VETASSESS? It's a tough one to decide because may be case officer is not even bothering to check my employment record as its already been checked by VETASSESS. Don't want to create a situation with case officer for no reason.
  4. Hello Bondi Hopeful, We are in the same boat lol I just went to RCMP last Thursday and gave my wife's and mine fingerprints. According to them, if there is not match found (which I am pretty sure because I have done this fingerprinting business before), record check should be processed in 3 days or less and then few more days to receive the document in mail. So hopefully should have it by December 1st. What about you? Here is post about the same situation: Hello All, My file has finally been opened. But I am still not done lol Case officer has requested for Criminal record check (fingerprint version). I had submitted regular police clearance (without finger printing). So just collecting documents now and hoping to submit within granted 28 days. My time line is as follows: Direct Entry Country - LR (Canada) Nomination lodged - 17/09/2015; Nomination granted - 15/04/2016 Visa lodged - 19/05/2016; Visa status - Information requested A good news nonetheless as at least now I know that result is not far away Cheers!
  5. I am attaching documents for ENS 186 direct entry visa application and wondering if the form below needs to be completed/attached for both me and my spouse? Majority of the information being filled in this document was already entered in the online application for both of us. Anyone who is done this? Form 80 - Personal particulars for assessment including character assessment (373 kB pdf).
  6. Is it a good idea to get health examination done before lodging visa application? or is it just better to wait and see if case officer would want a health check done?

  12. Hello everyone, I am new to this forum. My time line for ens 186 direct entry is as follows: Nomination application submitted - September 15, 2015 Nomination approved - April 26, 2016. Visa application submitted - April 28, 2016. Any idea how long it may take for visa approval? Anyone who may have submitted visa application after nomination approval and their experiences? Will it take the same time as my nomination application processing? I.e. 7 months. Applications submitted in Perth, WA. Thanks!
