Althogh it is a good news. It cant come fast enough still.
I hope this gets an all clear in a week or two!I am hoping for the same. They should start rolling them out in the next couple of weeks. I am sure they have thier formats etc ready. The first to hear will be applicants who have already paid the second VAC and are onshore. I guess that backlog should and will be cleared out before touching the other applications. Just my guess and common sense if they apply it.

I have sent an email to PCV Team1 asking for an update.
I have not heard from them since May 2020.I just think that they may hold off for a bit for onshore applicants until the exception for the parents to stay onshore is formally released this quarter. This will prevent them from doing a double job of sending our two different letters. I may be wrong but just my thoughts.

Maybe some just pay and don’t query it and just follow their “rules” they have offered some 6mths extension on medical and 3mths on police check. You have to ask if they don’t offer I presume
@Kathss56 I agree with you. The first letter maybe a standard generated message. It's only when you ask, then can the case officer step outside the box and choose to help or otherwise.

Is it for those of us whom have delayed once, they're saying you have to do it now? And for the ones that are just being requested - 3 months? To be fair, case officer who rang me told me they were not requesting us to leave within 28 days but to provide itinerary within 28 days, so we could still have bought tickets for say, Feb 2021...
@KittyMB Not really sure. I have seen cases where they have asked for an itinerary in a weeks time and then travel out in 28 days. That's a bit tough to do in these times.

It's funny how there is a bit of discrepency in some being given 3 months vs some being given 28 days to leave the country to activate the 143 visa. I wonder how and what drives this decision making on the case officers side.
In some cases the 3 months is given without requesing . Whilst in some you have to ask for it.
In the current scenario it should be 3 months for all by default. That's the least that they can do.

I’m the same supposedly 3 mths to leave. They said to someone today they could extend medical by 6mths and police checks by 3mths. So nearer the time(beg of Feb for be) I’m going to ask about this definitely fighting to stay longer
@Kathss56 They now seem to be giving everyone 3 months to leave. That wasn't the case earlier I belive. It seems like the department/Minister is only buying time until they have something concrete rolled out about parents not having to leave AUS to activate the visa. That's just my take on the situation and what it seems like.

@Kathss56 Here's the response from Julian Hill.
Thanks for your email
It's not possible procedurally to include it in this Bill, however that's the next issue I'm looking at this week.
Kind regards
Julian

Some visa categories do not now have to leaves Oz to get visa grant. BUT parent visas( eg 143 ) are NOT included in the list. No surprise there, feeling totally discriminated against!!
https://covid19.homeaffairs.gov.au/covid-19-visa-concessions
@Kathss56 This feels like an absolute kick in the guts. Why on earth would they be so blatantly discriminaotry? It's shocking. Like as if to say parents are like S*** and don't really matter.
If anyone it is the parents who are most vulnerable in the current COVID situation.

julian.hill.mp@aph.gov.au
@Kathss56 I sure will write to him. But was jus wondering if he would take my email into consideration due to the fact that we are still waiting for the second VAC payment?

Unfortunately the Air Travel Pass must be applied between 7 and 30 days before date of departure, and I only bought my tickets on Monday
@KathyN All of this is perhaps overwhelming. My Mrs and I are looking forward to my in-laws receiving their PR but so much drama and stress with having to send them back overseas. It just take away from the joy
I hope you managed to get the Air Travel Pass. All the very best !

If in the unfortunate case that it takes longer, I will have to change the return date then, and stay in Singapore for a while and do the 2 day test.
@KathyNAll the very best with this. I can imagine the stress levels going through all of this hassle. But sooner than latet I think my in-laws too will have to go through this. They too will be onshore when we get the intimation to pay the 2nd VAC.

Finally, received letter from Immi to pay final amount for my parents. While, paying thorugh immi account which was guided by immigration letter, charging extra 1.2% on transaction which would be approx $1200 more.....is their any other way to pay immigration with less transaction fees.
Thanks in advance.
Congratulations @Niel All the very best. They say using the BPAY optoin is the best way to make this payment.

Hi @cfernandes can I please ask what sort of confirmation you received for acceptance of AOS?
As, I have done all the work for assurance of support but didn't receive any confirmation. Thanks
@gagan1991 If you have a mygov account there will be a letter sent in there confirming that the AOS has been accepted. But if you normally receive correspondence in snail mail then you should receive a hard copy.
