  1. 1 step closer! Were documents requested for nomination or visa? Which docs?
  2. Have just found this thread and wondered if anyone has experienced this since the above posts or has any advice for me as I am in the same position. I am 36 weeks pregnant and started my PR application in February, it is likely to be granted at some point in August/ early September and there are unlikely to be any issues with the application, all documents from the checklist have been uploaded. This leaves me with the predicament where there could be a matter of days between giving birth and being granted permanent residency. From humanservices.gov.au it states: "To be eligible for Parental Leave Pay, you must satisfy residence requirements. When your child is born or adopted, you must be living in Australia and: hold a permanent visa. However, when I went in to Centrelink to ask questions they seemed to think this was a bit ridiculous for a matter of days and recommended I contact immigration (and my midwife), so I called them but it wasn't a very successful conversation. They put a note on my file but don't think they understood the urgency or stress this could be causing me, they mainly wanted to inform me that if the child is born before the visa is granted I MUST contact them to update the application - this then confused me because my partner (Father of child) is Australian, so it will be Australian from birth? I would appreciate any thoughts or recommendations anyone has, it would be a huge relief to have this all sorted in the next couple of weeks and a huge difference to the next 6 months.
  3. Does anyone think emailing immi about my application will slow things down/ get my application delayed? I am now 36 weeks pregnant and have not only been advised by centrelink to contact them but also my midwife thinks it would be a good idea to chase things. I'm worried that its still 4 weeks off the 6 month mark - however saying that, if my application isn't granted before I have the baby it doesn't really matter when I get it as I won't be entitled to the paid parental leave then and it opens a can of worms with adding the child to the application so i'm thinking it can't do any harm? Talk about bad timing. Stresssssssssss!
  4. Congratulations to everyone who has finally got their PR over the past few weeks. It must be a great relief! Really smashing it out today
  5. Interesting read. Also slightly worrying as I'm related to the business owner, I do have a genuine position within his company. Hopefully supporting docs will be enough to prove this. They passed 457 visa easily enough in the same position.
  6. Congrats to everyone who received PR approval this week, enjoy your weekend!:biglaugh: ENS 186, TRT (From 457) Nomination lodged 11/02/16 Visa lodged 11/02/16 Status: Application received LR - UK 1 applicant Occupation: Civil Engineering Technician Medical: 23/03/16 - "Health clearance provided":30/03/16
  7. Hi all, Have been reading this thread for a few months and now my application is in progress I though i'd share my information, I've also added this to the spreadsheet. ENS 186, TRT (From 457) Nomination lodged 11/02/16 Visa lodged 11/02/16 Status: Application received LR - UK 1 applicant Occupation: Civil Engineering Technician Medical: 23/03/16 - "Health clearance provided":30/03/16 So far I have uploaded certified passport and birth certificate, Australian police certificate, UK police certificate, signed declaration. I am in the process of completing Form 80 Personal particulars/character assessment and should have that complete for upload tomorrow. I'm 4 months pregnant (Australian partner) and cutting it fine to get residency before the due date, but I shall keep my fingers crossed. Does anyone have any advice on additional documents that may be requested from my employer or me further along so I can get prepared? Good luck to everyone awaiting residency!!!
