I am pretty sure my MA told me that by law the employer must pay the nomination fee. I was not allowed to pay it for them when I lodged my application even tho they were going to reimburse me.

Just over 8 months then. Did you you submit it through an MA, and was it decision ready? I know the supposed processing time line is around 6 - 8 months, but I'm wondering if decision ready does make a difference?

Dude, what is your MA doing???? why has he not already submitted all the documents with your application? You're probably paying this guy good money, and he is not doing his job properly if you ask me. In my opinion any further delays you get will be down to him. I would be giving him a kick in the butt!

I applied in January, my MA told me that from December 2015 form 80 was no longer a requirement.

Hi Ed, i applied in January 16 my MA told me that from December 15 you no longer needed to fill out form 80. He did a decision ready application for me. So I would say that you wouldn't need to do it. That would be a result as form 80 is nasty!!!!!

Hi guys, many of you are saying that you have been checking your immi accounts to keep updated with your applications. I have had mine submitted by a MA. He says that I can't have the immi account details to check myself, as it will show all of his clients. However I have noticed that a lot of you are able to check yours even though you have done it through an MA. How is this possible? Am I being told pork pies????

Hi chemtech, I lodged my transition 186 in January this year. My MA told me I didn't need to do form 80. That was after I'd spent two evenings filling it out! He has lodged my decision ready application and I've not heard anything, so I assume no news is good news. I did get the declaration form via email last week, to say that you have no payed for favour for visa nomination etc.

If if you get the visa approved, and get your PR then if you are made redundant you don't have a problem. Well you will have one..... No work. There is no legal obligation to stay with your employer on a 186, unlike the 187. The same applies to the employer. I hope you get the visa processed in time mate.

Hi there, I am new to this forum. From all the reading I have been doing in the last couple of days, it seems I have a bit of a wait ahead of me. I submitted my application and nomination for my 186 on the 20th of January 2016. I'm guessing I won't hear much until July. I had the acknowledgment of application the day I submitted. I used a MA and did a decision ready application. I think I need a miracle to get it any sooner!
