Hi Leanie. Great to see you here on this forum as well. It appears you are waiting longer than most applicants here. I would get in touch with DIBP to find out. -

Hi Harriiii. Most applicants receive their approval letters within two weeks of passing the test. DIBP always maintain that they will consider applications on a case by case basis. To my understanding, a delayed decision often relate to high risk passports or region you had lived prior to or during your permanent residency in Australia. -

Australian Permanent Residency for New Zealand Citizens
James Willingery replied to FERQUENT's topic in Visa Chat
Australia is a great country. NZers are lucky because they do enjoy privileges in Oz where no other nationalities can. Good on them. Most are very hard working, honest people. -
175 permanent residency and new zealand?
James Willingery replied to Fraggleoz's topic in Repealed and Closed Visas
My wife was able to travel to NZ on Oz PR Visa and was grant NZ PR visa on arrival. I understand that once you have lived in NZ for two on PR visa, you can apply for Indefinite Resident Visa which will allow you to travel in and out of NZ freely without having to worry about your OZ PR Visa expiring. Just like Oz, NZ is a great place having lived there myself for 10 years. Good luck with your decision. -

Congratulation Jimm. It is a pretty quick turnaround. Regarding your formal invitation to attend the ceremony, do you actually have to do anything (i.e., RSVP) to confirm your attendance? Cheers. -

Hi Leanie Congratulation. Looks like your husband and I are in similar circumstances. NZer with PR Visa (not Pre 2001 NZer) applying for Oz citizenship. I have recently applied online and was surprised to be asked for Centrelink Certificate but not PCCs. I wonder if we need to contact DIBP to find out more.

AUSTRALIAN CITIZENSHIP TIMELINES 2018-2019
James Willingery replied to FlashP5sub175's topic in Citizenship
Hello everyone. I am new to the forum and not very knowledgeable on Australian Citizenship. I hope you could give me some helpful insights into citizenship matters. I spoke to Citizenship line recently and was told that I would qualified to apply in June this year. My job requires me to travel overseas several times a year, each time ranging from one week to 6 weeks. Below are some facts to consider; *Counting backward 4 years from June 2016, as of now I have been away from Australia totaling 300 Days. *Counting backward 1 year from June 2016, as of now I have not been away at all. *I have just received an assignment which requires me to be away for about 50 Days starting from mid April to early June, thus meaning I will back in Australia just 3 weeks before the day I am eligible to apply. If I was to take this assignment, can I still apply in June this year or I will have to wait? *As I would get very close to the 12 months allowed to be away from the country over the last 4 years period counting from June 2016, does anyone know if traveling overseas during the gap period between being an approved applicant to citizenship ceremony would count toward the 12 months threshold? It is likely that I will have to take another trip while waiting for my ceremony. Thank you in advance to your kind advice.
