  1. Hi Leanie. Great to see you here on this forum as well. It appears you are waiting longer than most applicants here. I would get in touch with DIBP to find out.
  2. Congrats Rob. I hope you get into the big Australia Day ceremony in Jan. March seems a long time to wait. Good luck.
  3. Hi Harriiii. Most applicants receive their approval letters within two weeks of passing the test. DIBP always maintain that they will consider applications on a case by case basis. To my understanding, a delayed decision often relate to high risk passports or region you had lived prior to or during your permanent residency in Australia.
  4. Date applied - 06/07/2016 City/Council area - City of Greater Dandenong (Victoria) Online / Paper - Online Date received the acknowledgement email - 06/07/2016 Date of the Citizenship Test - 01/08/2016 Passed 100% Approval letter dated - 01/08/2016 Date of ceremony - 15/09/16 It is a pretty quick turnaround from DIBP. Good luck to all waiting.
  5. Hi DranP I received my invitation letter from DIBP dated 22 August and my ceremony is 15th September. I will update my timeline shortly. Good luck!

  7. Hi. It was email notification. I received on 22/07/16 for test date early September. I managed to change it to early August. Dont worry mate. You will be getting your test notification soon. Melbourne is not too bad compared to other cities. I heard Adelaide is really quick though. Good luck.
  8. bwatt99 I read somewhere that the wait time for test is about 4 months in Perth. Are you applying from Perth?
  9. Good new guys. Citizenship test scheduled. 10. Yeah I told DIBP I dont have the Centrelink Certificate and they said all good I dont need one. I still havent heard anything back yet from DIBP regarding my citizenship application, from the other people timelines, I dont expect anything for at 4-6 weeks. Anyhow, we will keep each other updated. Cheers.
  11. Congratulation littlegreenman and thank you for your insights.
  12. Hi roland Congratulation on your application. The turnaround from DIBP is very impressive. Please kindly post your timeline we can all get a clearer time frame and future updates. Cheers. James.
  13. Much appreciated Jimm. Did they also send you a formal invitation letter via postal mail?
  14. Australia is a great country. NZers are lucky because they do enjoy privileges in Oz where no other nationalities can. Good on them. Most are very hard working, honest people.
  15. My wife was able to travel to NZ on Oz PR Visa and was grant NZ PR visa on arrival. I understand that once you have lived in NZ for two on PR visa, you can apply for Indefinite Resident Visa which will allow you to travel in and out of NZ freely without having to worry about your OZ PR Visa expiring. Just like Oz, NZ is a great place having lived there myself for 10 years. Good luck with your decision.
