  1. Without any commercial experience even PR in Nz is unlikely and even then you would need to wait a few years to become a NZ citizeN before you could live and work in Australia without a visa. A lot of people come on these forums quoting this and that degree or a masters but with no commercial experience maybe thinking that both Australia/New Zealand dont have any graduates with same qualifications all competing for jobs. Maybe you need to consider a working holiday visa first to see if you could even get a job without previous commercial experience.
  2. On the other hand maybe not state up front is anything more than a working holiday even though for many people WHV is used as such to look at PR opportunities . Obviously be honest in every way especially on the dependants front as that in any case demonstrates your UK ties to leave at end of WHV
  3. End of day i guess people come on a forum for informal advice some might not be what they want to hear and some they might, and should be accepted as such. If someone has convinced themselves they have a plan even if to some people sounds like something immigration have seen before, and am sure they have seen plenty, they will likely just stick to their plan. A start point of a cancelled 457, a defacto NZ citizen who is not PR in OZ, a tourist visa immediately after a cancelled 457 and then a possible student visa. At least no option considered seen elsewhere where someone changed their name by deedpoll to get a new passport and attempt a visa that route, but thats extreme. As others have said here good luck with whatever route taken
  4. Did i miss something but a student visa usually requires a police check whether the offence was in OZ or anywhere else in the world. Even entering as a tourist certain convictions can make someone inadmissable. Likely has to be something significant to warrant further investigation not just a speeding offence
  5. Would be prudent to apply for the 'visitor' visa in advance believe is a subclass 600 thats allows up to 12 month stay versus 3 months for the e visitor version. As other posters have said might expect the cancelled association with the 457 visa to raise some possible questions with a tourist visa. I also recall somewhere visitor visas have to be applied for offshore but maybe misread or that has changed.
  6. Not sure but dont rights to live and work in OZ only apply to NZ Citizens or NZ PR with appropriate visa. Not so sure about defacto UK Citizen or even ultimately married to Kiwi when UK citizen not even a NZ PR or citizen. As previous poster said time to consult an agent.
