  1. I share your frustration. Lodged on 14th May and no updates yet. Have you tried calling them? If so, what did they say.
  2. Congratulation! Time to celebrate... Wishing you a great life ahead. BTW, when did you lodged the visa and which country are you from?
  3. hmm, the wait is just getting longer for us! I did not call them but did drop an email. Got a scripted reply with no useful information.
  4. No updates CaptainC. I wrote an email on 18th Aug to which they responded on 10th saying very case is different and is treated differently. Nothing specific on timelines or verification status.
  5. Any updates guys. I am still waiting for mine, lodged on 14th May
  6. Still waiting CaptainC, no updates yet. I've stopped calling them but did drop an email to GSM Adelaide on 18th Aug, haven't heard back yet. When are you planning to move?
  7. Congratulations CaptainC! I am still waiting for mine to come, not sure what is holding it up.
  8. I finally decided to track the visa grant so thought of jumping to June applicants group. I have submitted my application on 14th May (bit earlier than my fellow applicant CaptainC ) and still waiting for the visa grant. No contact from CO yet, but have called up couple of times and was informed that all the documents are in place and internal checks are going on. Its been a long wait and eagerly looking forward for it to end.
  9. Not sure, but there is an option to import application to other IMMI account. If I remember correctly, in the skillselect when you click on 'Apply visa', there is an option to login to immi account. If that does not work, try importing the application as suggested earlier.
  10. @mktwog - Just out of curiosity, are you sure about them tracking it, and if so, how did you get to know about it?
  11. That is good, but wait is a pain! I haven't got any response yet, I called-up last week and they said it is under verification. Not sure why it is taking so long...
  12. Good to know that there is some progress in your application. It won't be long now.
  13. Congratulations GeoSurfer! If I may ask, which occupation did you applied your visa in and if you have any travel history outside your country? Just trying to understand if these things makes any sense. I've visited five countries in past couple of years so wondering if that makes any difference in process. Any input will be appreciated.
  14. I believe I did try to answer your query yesterday in one of my previous post. No body can help you with a timeline here, we all are on same boat. Sorry to sound disappointed but that is what it is!
  15. God knows what they do... but 9 months is too long a time for anyone to wait. Its not yet 3 months for me and I'm getting more frustrated as every day pass. I don't have a contact from CO to drop an email for him/her to respond in two weeks. When I called-up all they said is it is under process and nothing more than that. I wonder what really is happening. CaptainC - Did you get thru them? If so, what did they say?
  16. Guys - There is no definite timeline by which a CO need to get back. It depends on individual case. Every case is different and is handled differently, so please be patience and wait for the CO contact or grant. If all the document are fine by CO, they usually run an internal check, which is nothing but verifying the claims that you have made, i.e. employment, education, personal details, police check etc. These checks are usually done by the Australian consulate in respective country and the timeline may depend on the level of details they are seeking (e.g. someone with history of just single employment will be faster compared to ones who has worked with multiple employers etc.). Apart from this, if one has traveled to multiple countries for short term, they may run into other checks. For high risk countries, there could be security check done as well, which is done by another department in Australia and may take bit long. All these factors makes it difficult for anyone to estimate the grant time, even CO at times may not be aware of when he/she will receive the required details to proceed with grant. This is my personal View on visa timelines and I may be completely wrong here.
  17. Tracker shows two grants on Saturday. I guess they work on Saturday, not sure though.
  18. Did you folks notice the drop in number of grants? As per the tracker, there are less than 10 grants this week. Seems like there is a monthly quota per subclass now, or maybe something else
  19. Not a high risk country, I guess. I have seen fellow Indians getting grants quite fast. I do have multiple travels in past couple of years but mostly to US, Europe, UK and Singapore with an exception to Dubai (not sure if its high risk) while transit. I believe this could be the reason for additional checks.
  20. Does anyone know what is this routine check all about and how long it takes. Why is it that some people get the grant earlier than others. Is this routine check applicable for few or for all applicants. Sorry to ask so many questions, but it indeed is frustrating.
  21. The wait is really making all of nervous and I am no exception. I called up the department today and they said my application is under assessment and that they are validating the claims I've made. I asked if the progress shows-up in the immi account, to which the lady replied that the status does not reflect the real progress made thus far and is just an indicative thing. What confuses me is the ppl who have filed application after me have got the grant and I'm still waiting to hear anything.
