Thankyou Ken. Seems strange doesn’t it. If you ate moving somewhere for possibly 10 years with the intention to stay having applied for a 143 it seems strange that you have to pay duty on your personal items. There must be many people who have movers o erseas, albeit temporary who have taken containers of stuff with them.

You can apply twice for an 870 which we would do if needed and leave in Between. But I would want to ship a fair bit of stuff.

hello everyone. we have applied for out 143 which will be many years before it’s granted so are co side ring going to Melbourne on an 870. My question is can you organise removals on an 870. Doree Bonner said you can send things on a temporary visa? Has anyone done this or can give us any advise please?

Thanks everyone. Alan, you are handling our visa application, so thanks for your input. seems we still have a very long wait. We app,ied March 2019. Are we right to not expect to hear anything until 2023?

Another question if anyone can help? the aos, is it calculated at the time of your 143 application or at the time it is granted please? What is the current cost? Thanks

Thank you Sadge do you know if you have to stay there permanently by that date or can you still come and go? we have t been granted our yet, we are a way off but just wondered how it works as you are not sure when It will be granted then we have lots of ends to tie up here. Like the house sale etc which could take a while.
