Chris - you're probably with me and Websie in the Perth office. I have exactly same timeline as you and in the same boat.

Thats an understatement! Don't know what they're doing over there but they are about 3 months behind NSW processing office. My MA chased them again yesterday but I'm not hold ding out much hope for anything soon.

OK - so, update from my side. Nomination has been approved though not sure when, however my application is being processed by the Perth office, which is unusual as I'm Sydney based. Not sure if this explains the delay when others are getting their applications approved - does anyone have experience of dealing with the Perth office??

For those of us with Jan and Feb applications still outstanding - does anyone know where we stand with respect the police checks and how long they remain valid for? I don't want to have to wait all this time only to find they have expired and need to be resubmitted. Mine were done in November of 2014. Thanks all.

I think it changes when a CO is assigned. For me that took circa 3 and a half months at which point they asked for additional information, but if nothing outstanding is required you might not even get a change in status until your application is finalised.

Guys - just spoken to my MA and they have confirmed that there are no threshold limits and that they are seeing approvals coming in from other applicants - so as frustrating as it is, we have to sit tight and wait for the good news to come through - whenever that may be.

Guys - I've asked my MA the question regarding whether or not the immi dept have reached a threshold which has resulting in a slowing down of approvals. Hope to have the answer back shortly which I'll post on here.

Is this the reason things have slowed down? My MA hasn't mentioned anything about this. I would have thought if a Case Officer had been assigned to your application then you are part of that years quota?

pih5ped - I agree with Websie. I submitted by Visa application on Feb 10th. May 26th they ask for extra docs. Immi status changed to reflect this and we submitted next day. Immi status then changed back to "assessment in progress". We've heard nothing back though immi has confirmed via the MA that they have received it. I know the waiting game is frustrating but would say that based on current experience you're looking at mid July until you hear anything back.
