Hi, we're about to apply for Visa 189 and I came across some old posts by accident regarding Aspergers diagnosis resulting in possible refusal of visas. This is not something I had considered before being a problem.
My son was diagnosed with Aspergers 3 years ago but has never been statemented, attends main stream school, receives no one to one TA care in class. He is achieving the national average levels expected for English and well above the national average for maths and science.
the problem with the old posts I've seen have not had a follow up with what happened (that I can see) and obviously there are out of date.
I have spoken to his school and they will happily provide statements and evidence of this and his Consultant will back this up too. Am I going to be fighting a losing battle or am I over reacting?
(sorry if this doesn't make sense, just finished nights with little sleep!)
thanks for any advice.
