I sent an email to NSW processing team yesterday to see what month they were allocating and they just emailed me back stating that case officers were being allocated applications lodged end of Feb/beginning of March so perhaps NSW are running a bit behind.

Yes if further information is requested then they are processing your application so the status will change. However a lot of applications go from application received straight to granted if no information is needed. The status doesnt change just because a CO is assigned unless they are processing and they need further documents.

''Assessment in Progress'' does not mean that a CO has been assigned. This is the status that showed on all application once submitted prior to the changes that took place in May 2015. All applications applied for after the changes took place are 'Application received' and will go straight to 'granted' if no further information is requested so dont be disheartened thinking that it has not been assigned to a CO because that may not necessarily be true

On the Form 80 - Question 50 'Sponsoring Employer Details' do we need to put our employer in who has nominated us if we are going through Direct Entry? The employer is not 'sponsoring' as such but it also states business 'associated' with. Can anyone confirm?

Hi all, With the two passport photos you have to attach to your application with your name printed on the back - do you need it certified by JP? Timeline: 29/01/2015 - Nomination application submitted 18/05/2015 - Nomination approved 27/05/2015 - Visa applied Waiting.....

Thanks for that Ian. I am from the UK also, am just in the middle of completing form 80 but the international travel part is causing my grief I have been on so many holidays over the years around Europe etc and have no clue what dates they would have been. What's your occupation?
