Hi Julie, Thanks for confirming what we thought was correct. If this is the case we may as well start from scratch once there rather than put everything in storage . Hi all, We have decided to bite the bullett and move to Oz on a 12 month tourist visa while waiting for our CPV 143 to be granted which should be approximately 6 months later. I am trying to find out if we will be permitted to ship our belongings when we go even though we will not be permanent residents. Any advise would be a great help Lisa

Hi everyone, I've been frequently looking at all of your posts since our application for our 143 in June this year. Our payment for 1st vac was taken within 2 days and we received our receipt and acknowledgement letter very soon after. I am now slightly concerned as the acknowledgement letter does not have any instructions when to have medicals and police checks done. On reading other posts it seems like everyone else's had this info . Already stressed and it's only been 4 months in the waiting room . Any advise will be appreciated . Lisa

Fingers crossed you are right Joe but we are getting ourselves prepared for a very long wait . We are going to start the dreaded form 80 in the next few days . Our son who lives in Canberra is getting married in Nov 2016 .... Going by people's timelines we wouldn't have our visa by then so looks like it will probably be a just a visit Lisa

Hi, Thanks for the welcome Julie and Maisie . As I mentioned before our application for the 143 was delivered yesterday the 10th June. Today I have received an email with the receipt for payment of 1st vac and our letter of acknowledgement . I wasn't expecting any of this for quite a while yet and am just a bit surprised. I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen so quickly .

Hi everyone . I am new to this forum and reading through all the posts has been a great help in submitting our application for our 143 visa. It was received in Perth today and already the payment has been requested for and authorisation given by our credit card company which will go through in a couple of days. Feeling excited but also petrified at the same time. The long wait begins here !!!!

Our 143 should come through in about 12 months. Our eldest son who has PR lives in Canberra so looking at staying with him until we know what's happening job and sponsor wise with younger son. We are willing to go where ever to enable son to remain in Australia.

Need to know my sons chances of getting sponsored as a qualified greenkeeper . He is 25 and will be joining us on a WHV . The job is only on the CSOL so not sure if trying to get sponsorship before hand is possible or to just come on the WHV and try his hardest to get sponsored job . Getting really worried now as we are going on a 143 parents visa and we have no family left in the UK and obviously our son wants to be with us.

Would that mean I could look for employment with potential to be sponsored where I wish or would it have to be in a nominated area .

I am 24 . It is only on the CSOL list . Not sure if I arrive on a working holiday visa and try and get a job with sponsorship if I will still have to work in a nominated state. I'm finding it so confusing .

I am a qualified greenkeeper and wondered what my visa options are. My brother is a PR in Canberra and my parents are applying for contributory parent visas pretty soon and I need to know how I can join them. Any advise will be helpful.
