  4. Hi All, I have already answered no for this question as I believed the SLC to be a private company. However I am unsure now. If they are a public Authority then I will quickly upload a form 1023 to correct this mistake before I get assigned a CO. Any feedback would be much appreciated :-). Steve
  5. Hi maggiemay24, Thanks for your response so quickly. That makes me feel loads better. I had spoken to a migration agent over the phone who said it would be a problem. However I didn't fully explain that they are associated companies which they are. I believe that this would apply to myself & will hopefully be ok because of this. Yes my company also sponsored me on a 457 and have done many more 457's & PR's so should all is legit with everything. My worry was that not many had been done in WA (different abn) but should still be ok with being associated companies like you mentioned. I have a meeting with a migration agent on monday to confirm after I speak to my HR again so fingers crossed!!!! :-) Thanks again, Steve QUOTE=MaggieMay24;1936645096]Was this also the employment arrangement and company set-up when you got your 457 visa? I've been advised by a migration agent that my company's two separate legal entities (and separate ABNs) can be considered associated companies due to the fact that we meet this requirement under the Corporations Act. So perhaps that's also the situation for you. If you've already submitted your application, there's little you can do about it now so see what happens. If the nomination has been approved, that may be a good sign that this is fine.
  6. Hi All, I have lodged my 186 visa online & attached all docs required. My employer nomination has already been approved and I am currently waiting to be assigned a CO. My concern is because although my employer nomination has been approved, the abn for my sponsor is different from the one paying my wages? Both employers are working under the same employment holdings group. My employer nomination states I work for my current sponsored employer which is trading as my actual employer (so correct abn). However my employment contract & wage slips which have been attached and approved already (have different abn)? Surely the department will have noticed this when checking my nomination? My employer believes everything is fine and they have done this process many times before. I wonder if sector 50AAA act regarding business entities somehow links the business abns to make it ok? The different abns may be because of our offices are in different states in Australia. Not sure if this is correct? I am very confused by this & worried my application will be refused. As I have 2 months left on my 457 I am seriously considering withdrawing the application if the abn is going to be an issue to try and get another 457 with my employer whilst in Australia. Is this a possibility? If so I will discuss with my employer about working under the correct abn for future 457. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!! :-) Thanks, Steve
