There have been a couple of cases where CO are asking for Police Clearance again. Is it because they want the latest clearance? My AFP Clearance certificate was issued on 18-Nov-14 and my overseas police clearance is date 12-Dec-14. The AFP clearance is already more than 6 months old. Should I get the same issued again. Because if CO asks for a new one, then the case would be put on hold for another month or more unnecessarily. Can anyone please advise as I don’t want this to be delayed any further because of such a small issue.

Hi Just thought of sharing this information. I contacted the Immi department regarding the query - on requirement of health insurance after getting enrolled for 457 and this is the response I got _________________________________________________________________________________________________ Thank you for your email to the Temporary Work (Skilled)(457) processing section. If as you indicated in your email of 24/03/2015 that you are fully enrolled into Medicare, this is considered sufficient in meeting the requirement in your visa condition 8501 HEALTH INSURANCE. _________________________________________________________________________________________________ Since enrollment into Medicare is sufficient to meet the 8501 Health Insurance condition that implies we do not private health insurance cover once we enroll for medicare on applying for PR. Moreover regarding the Medicare levy exemption, once you enroll for medicare you become liable for Medicare levy and also the Visitor Insurance for 457 does not qualify for Private health insurance rebate.

Hi Websie, I definitely don't wish anyone has to wait for so long. I hope the department is now putting their act in place and move faster for all pending cases. Cheers

Hi Websie, Don't loose hope. I have finally got my nomination approval today after a marathon wait of over 237 days since my nomination was lodged. And then they asked for documents in 18/12/2014 which were submitted the same day. My wait has been for over 84 days. Hope thing will move faster now. I will be filling my PR application now. Also can some guide me as to what all documents needs to be attached in the application, though I am going through a MA but still want to be sure that nothing is missed out this time. I have already got my IELTS score, Police verification done.

Yeah, My MA gave me the same assurance, then had heard about the 28 days time-period before the the CO looks back again.... but even that has passed.... so don't really know what's happening. It really bad timing, it seems I need to be more patient. Yes I am awaiting for the Nomination to get approved before I lodge my Visa Application. I wanted to play safe and had not expected it to take this long. Now I feel I would have been better had I applied for visa along with the nomination. Anyways what is done is done, just cant go back in time....... Let hope for the best.
