  1. Hi all I feel very fortunate to be able to share that I received my grant this afternoon. I had a call from a CO in the Perth office just after 2pm this afternoon checking a couple of details. She said that she needed to check the information I had provided with her manager and thankfully it seems her manager was in a good mood today as just after 5pm I received the email. It really is a great feeling and I feel for those that have been waiting for longer than myself and for such an extended period of time. I wish everyone good luck and hope everyone hears soon. Thank you all for all the advice of the past months.
  2. I did but they just needed to check something with my wifes audit from last night
  3. . . . just had a call from a case officer wanting to clarify something on my application. She said everything else on the application is fine but just needed to check something. I would imagine they will need it in writing but I hope not
  4. I think by the time all the September and October applications are worked through that average time would have sky rocketed. If you take out some of the 'freak' times, the average time is around 133 days.
  5. Hi Korf7 How did you find out that it had been allocated? Was it via an MA? I reckon his has probably been the slowest week since I lodge my application. Just seen that you've had your visa granted . . . massive congrats!! Cheers
  6. . . . unfortunately it seems a bit of a slow end to the week. Lets hope for plenty of grants next week.
  7. Your employer will be notified first as they are the ones who lodged the nomination. My HR department just emailed me with the letter of approval when it came through
  8. Congrats Carterinoz, all the best for the future. Good to see that there were a couple of visa's granted yesterday after what seemed to be a bit of a lull. Also good to see that they are getting into the 3/4 week of September
  9. The wait starts from when you lodge your application rather than the nomination, so looks as if you're in the October gang.
  10. it's not that difficult of a process, I did my application on my own and there are a lot of forms and info you have to gather but with the price of the visa being so much and didn't want to pay more for an MA just to tell me what forms to fill in when all the information is already available online and within forums such as this. A few of my friends had already been through the process which was a big help.
  11. With IMMI having allocated some of the skilled migration visa's up to 31 October 2014, is the ENS 186 included in this? http://www.immi.gov.au/Work/Pages/general-skilled-migration/estimated-allocation-times.aspx I guess that even if they may have allocated they'll be down the bottom of the to do list
  12. Your employer will be the first to know as they are the ones that lodged it. That's how it worked with me.
  13. Hi CSI Not wanting to burst the bubble or dampen things but unfortunately from my own experience and from others on here it doesn't seem to be an inticator that things are going to happen any time soon. I got pretty excited when the same thing happened to me on 09.12.14 but others told me not to expect anything . . . sadly seems they were right. cheers Thomas
  14. I would imagine that with the public holidays and people being on annual leave etc it's slowed the process down a bit unfortunaltey
  15. It's not an exact science but your nomination may get approved anytime soon but you may then a bit of a wait for the visa as it was lodged 31.10.14.
  16. I guess there are 4 options (correct me if I'm wrong) - 1) Stay at your current job, get promoted, get a 457 visa. 2) Leave for a new job who will sponsor you on a 457 visa immediately. 3) Apply for PR yourself if you meet the criteria, dependent on occupation and qualifications. 4) Stay together, fake a defacto application but risk getting caught out?
  17. I got a bit of a promotion in work whilst on a 457 and my HR wrote to immi explaining about it, reasons why, new pay etc and as it was in line with the description of 'community worker' which was what I was sponsored for it was all good. My work lodged my nomination for PR a few months later and it was accepted without any trouble. As long as its in line with the anzsco code it should be ok but definitely worth checking out in case. I called immi on a couple of occasions to get some clarity and got different answers so a letter from the employer is probably best.
  18. Thats a a pretty crazy timeline, only waiting 3 weeks between lodgement and grant. Sure there's some pretty envious people on here - including myself. I take it must have been a straight forward app?
  19. The changing of the status of the documents doesn't seem to mean much unfortunately. But from having a look on the immi website and from the posts on here it suggests that they have allocated applications lodged in September to case officers so fingers crossed it might happen soon.
  20. That's good news after such a long wait. Fingers crossed the visa application is looking good and it will come through soon. Seems some get it pretty quickly after the nomination is approved when it's lodged at the same time, especially from July?
