First time poster here, I'm currently living and working in Brisbane, QLD on a working holiday visa (2nd year). I've been with my company for the last 5 months and there are very keen to keep me on and are prepared to go down the sponsorship route. My current job title is ‘Project Administrator’ which is on the Consolidated Sponsored Occupations List (ANZSCO Code 511112). I guess my main question is how the assessment side of things works through VETASSESS, I’ve only worked in this role for 5 months out of the last 2 years, however, I’ve been travelling for the past two years, therefore not working much at all. Also, assuming they do take my previous point into consideration, how will they confirm my previous roles in the UK? My job title differed, but there were aspects of the role that are not dissimilar to my current role and definitely project related. Also are there specific criteria you have to meet to be considered a ‘Project Administrator’, or specific industries etc.
It is probably worth mentioning that my employer is a nominated sponsor, and has sponsored people recently.
The more information/advice/experience you guys can provide, the better. I’m finding this all pretty overwhelming!
Also worth noting that I am also able to apply for a partner sponsored visa should this not be possible, however I’m airing towards the 457 due to the costs involved to myself for the 820.
