  1. Just a curious question. Following your citizenship interview/test has anyone ever received their approval letter before a status change to approved in Immi?
  2. This is what comes in the email " What we request you bring Along with this letter, we request that you bring the original version of the following documents to your appointment. The Document Checklist will assist you to identify acceptable documents. Photocopies or certified copies of documents are not acceptable. We request that you bring: at least three documents that, all together, show your birth name, date of birth, gender, photograph, signature and current residential address official evidence of change of name showing links between all names used any other identity documents issued by another government that you consider will assist in verifying your identity evidence of when you first arrived in Australia and your present country of citizenship the documents that were submitted with your application documents for any children under 16 years of age included in your application official translation to accompany any documents which are not in English (see Translating your documents) any other documents that we have requested you to provide." It doesn't specifically ask for a birth certificate unless you have uploaded it as evidence in your application.
  3. It doesn't really matter until you get an invitation, at that stage the date that is important is the invitation date.
  4. No you wont have any issues. My wife has the same - married name on visa and maiden name on passport. Never had any issues. The visa is linked to the passport and comes up automatically. Don't stress. The airline ticket should match the passport not the visa.
  5. Congratulations on passing your test, I am not from the same council but I just had a quick question. The approval on the immi site did you get an email notification or did you check on the site itself? I have by test yesterday and have a very similar timeline, so hoping for a quick approval.
  6. If it helps here is a site I've been using to prepare for the test. https://canvas.instructure.com/enroll/7CBGK6
  7. 'Can we get Citizenship approval offshore?" I don't know about the other stuff but I do know that you cannot be granted Citizenship while offshore.
  8. Yep i was very surprised. I had knuckled down for at least an 18 month wait. I recon my wife and I have been very lucky.
  9. The document list will detail all the evidence you MAY have to provide - complete your application (you can do this without submitting) it will then give you a list of the documents they require.

  12. Hello I need some documents certified for the Occupational Therapy council in Australia, I had them certified by a justice of the peace at York Magistrates, but the OT council didn't accept this. I have copied and pasted what they want below. If anyone can recommend anyone who can do this in the Leeds Area I would be very Grateful Thanks Shaun ""In countries outside Australia: • Notary public. • Registered legal practitioners. • Australian Embassy or Australian High Commission personnel To have copies certified, the practitioner must present both the original and the copy to the person carrying out the certification. Each copy of the document must be certified separately and must show clearly: • the words "certified true copy of the original"; • the signature of the certifying officer; and • the name, address, position and phone number (with international dialling codes) of the certifying officer legibly printed below the signature. It must be possible, from the details provided, for the OTC to contact the certifying officer if necessary."
