I'm unexpectedly moving back to the UK at the end of the month. I have a car lease which i took out in December last year. Does anyone have any experience with this and any advice what i can do. I would have no chance of getting a lump sum of money to pay it off by that time. I am going to call the leasing company later but i'd like to hear from someone that has had an experience with this

I guess its hit and miss....My nomination was approved and then less than 2 hours later my visa was granted

Whoop! got my nomination email!! Lodged both nom and app on 12th August Dear David Pleased to advise the first part of the ens process, the company nomination, has been approved. We will communicate with you again as soon as hear further in relation to your visa application.

How do you find out about the progress of your nomination? I have been in contact with both my MA and employer and they both say they have no way to check....

A colleague of mine has just gotten his 186 granted. Application and Nomination submitted 22nd June via MA as a decision ready application. His visa was granted today 19th. Mine was submitted the same way on 12th August.

My agent lodged my Nomination and Visa 186 ENS application on 12th August. All documents including medicals/police checks already undertaken and submitted along with the lodgement. Now....seeing as everything has been lodged together with hopefully no more information/documents needed, is there a chance it will progress quicker. I appreciate the backlog of applications there currently is, but just wondering if this will have an effect on the overall process and how quick it is progressed. Also im a single British male currently on a 457.

Agreed. But i guess this would of been the only way I could of gotten in as i have no qualifications and my skill isn't listed. So maybe you are in the same boat as me in this matter so this may be your way too.

Yup very true. My circumstances were different as I never really had plans to get my PR, but as time progressed it just worked out this way. My initial mind set was to do my year working holiday and keep travelling....just got stuck and addicted to the life style over here. And Scott the agency is called Paxus IT

Ah I see thanks for the information. Guess I will just have to wait my turn in the queue. But my visa will be lodged with all the required documents and forms so one would think it would progress quicker.. Also i am a sole applicant so theres probably nothing to worry about as theres no anticipated change before the end of the year as we now know.

I came to Perth on a 417 and I work in IT. Within 2 weeks of getting here (Nov 2011) i was offered a 6 month contract through an agency. 3 Months into my contract i was offered a 457 company sponsered visa. Now having been here nearly 3 years the company has sponsored me for a 186 Perm visa. Maybe i got lucky......I can give you the name of the agency that initally took me on if you like.

Hi all, Currently I am working on a BHP mine in the pilbra, WA. I am ready to submit my 186 ENS decision ready application on monday as agreed with my Migration agent. I work for an IT company contracted by BHP however changes are happening in the next few months which could lead to a company change/being taken in house by BHP. My question is, if this happens in the next couple of months what options are available to me? Most probably I can stay with my current company but posted back down to Perth. Obviously being taken on by BHP will be a dream come true but i dont wont to risk my application as ive already spent $9k + on it Any advice appreciated
