Thanks Kip, I am going to look into the cost of the Dip ed, as I can use my current degree and just do the teaching aspect.....again lol!! Looking forward to meeting you guys and bending your ears haha!! I agree about the system not being so hot here, in fact their systems are very different, I am surprised anyone gets good grades at my daughters school, mind you a lot have private tuition outside....what dos that tell you? Hey good by grey sky, How old is your daughter? we have a 13 year old who has had her 14th birthday here, we are currently in Sydney but heading up to Brisbane in two weeks. It has been tremendously hard for her, I/we totally underestimated the impact this would have on her, on the other hand our son has thrived. How does she feel about coming? It might be good for us to catch up, maybe PM is we can help? Best of luck Allison

This sounds great Kip, we will keep in touch and try for the 9th, I am really interested to know about teaching here as I believe rules change between states, I taught in the UK but dont have a B ed and cant afford 30,000 to get one here. But maybe its cheaper up in QLD and I could get a dip ed instead? lot's to talk about!! Looking forward to meeting you guys, enjoy the caravanning, we used to do it in the UK!

Hi, Thanks for getting right back to us so quickly, let's get a date in I say!! Fish and Chips very British let's do it, we have been in NSW for 7 months and are relocating due to Hubby's job (again). We came up and secured a rental last week so are busy packing....again haha. Considering working for a removals firm! Our house is in Redland Bay but only a short ride up to Cleveland, we arrive on 22 July and husband starts work 28th so why not do the Saturday? 26th. In box if this suits you all and let's get together, really keen to find out about kids stuff ours are 12 and 14. Looking forward to meeting you Allison

Hi All, Totally new to Poms in Oz, but have been here 8 months now in NSW. We are moving up to Redlands Bay Brisbane on 22 JULY, We have two children 12 and 14 boy and girl respectively. We are very sociable love a laugh and so do the children. I would love to hear from any Poms who are similar and could share information on social activities, kids stuff and who may be up for a few drinks and get together?
