Looking to meet new friends in Newtown, Sydney..

Hi ladies and gents, I've recently moved to Newtown after breaking up with my partner of 7 years and want to meet some new friends in Newtown or surrounding areas to socialize with. Hi i have recently moved to North Lakes just a few weeks ago and was looking for anyone in a similiar situation that would like to meet other mums in the area for a meet up with the kids and a coffee. I have looked for mother n toddler groups in North Lakes where mums to be can go but so far cant find any. I have a five year old little boy who has just started prep and i am due my second baby in April so ideally would like to meet up with mums with children of similiar ages so the kids can play together. Hey all, We moved out here at the end of August and are looking to socialise and meet new friends. We are both 37 and have a three children who are WIlliam 6, Isabelle 4 and Beatrice who is our new edition. We are living in Ormiston in the Redlands Bay area and enjoy having a drink and most importantly enjoy a good giggle. Hello everyone! I'm a 26 year old female Environmental Consultant and I'm going to be moving to Sydney (from Manchester) at the end of October. I'm really, really excited about coming over but I don't know anyone in Sydney, and as I'm coming over by myself I thought I'd post a quickmessage to try get to know a few people for when I get there! I’m easy-going and I love reading, films, theatre, cooking (and eating!), arts and crafts, music, walking, having a good old chat over a glass of wine and loads of other things! So, as the title says... My girlfriend and I arrived in Melbourne just yesterday we currently have 4 year VISA's (and now we 'think' we've mastered the Trams) it's time to get ourselves a social life!! We're 26/27, from England, like eating, drinking, coffee, sushi, having a laugh etc etc and in a nutshell just looking make friends (as corny as it sounds!!). So lets go for a drink...? -

We are to move out to Bundaberg in February, despite the floods, and would like to make friends with people in the area I am a registered nurse married with two children age 12 and 13, we are looking to possibly move to the Bargara area should arrive there the begining of Feb.

Hi, My partner and I have just received visa approval today (yay!) and are headed to the /Singleton / Maitland area in the next 6 weeks. The OH will be working in the mines and i'll be doing a bit of work from home and as we don't have any children I don't want to be rattling around the house all day! We are both looking to meet new people when we arrive so it would be great to hear from anyone who is on their way or already settled in this region of NSW. We're both from Staffordshire, almost 27 and frightened to death at the thought of being all alone in such a huge place so any help, advice or the chance to meet up for a glass of wine would be wonderful. Hey everyone, I'm new to Epping Vic and have a 22 month old that isn't going into kindi, my OH is working full time and I'm just looking for similar people to socialise with and also for my DS. Hi I am 37 and moving over to Sydney in Feb with my husband and two daughters aged 4 and 3 and would love to meet up with other mums with young children as soon as we can. Until mid-march we will be living in an apartment then plan to rent in the Hills District. Now that Christmas and New Year has passed reality is kicking in that soon I will be over there with no friends or family to chat to or meet up with. I am really looking forward to moving but also anxious about being lonely for a while. Mind you my girls will keep me going! Hi guys, my names Ashley. I'm a mental health nurse working here in Glasgow. I'm 24 been qualified and working for addictions and child protection for the past 2 and a bit years. I'm planning to move to Melbourne in a years time the now (Oct 2012) for good however i'm coming out to Melbourne for a holiday/visit in march 2012 for 3 weeks. My flights are all booked. Hi, we have just moved to Secret Harbour - staying with my sister, but will move after Christmas, as we are on a 475 visa and have visa restrictions. Therefore we are looking to live in 6210 post code, a little further south towards Mandurah... Lakelands, Meadow Springs, Madora Bay etc??? We are from Derby/Nottingham area, are 39/40 years young and have two children (daughter 13 & son 10 which are now enrolled in Secret Harbour schools).. My husband is a footie fan and having withdrawal symptons already!!! he is also looking for someone to play golf with.... I enjoy the gym/classes and have joined The Club at Port Kennedy and am trying to work on my tan.... but it keeps raining !!!! LOL. Anyone out there with children of similar ages and/or common interests???? :biggrin:
