  1. We did ours before being asked, the risk you might have is that if/when you get a visa grant the time of entry starts from when you had your medicals, for us it didn't matter for others it might
  2. We will defiantly embrace the whole experience, I always think it's worth asking anyone that's been somewhere their own opinion that way you get to have a look at places that are off the tourist map, personally I'm not into the shopping (my boys might disagree!!) so looking forward to trying the differnt food and soaking up the atmosphere
  3. I can't wait, we decided that we probably wouldn't have the opportunity again, I think I'm going to have to make an itinerary!! We have got 3 days there so hope to fit in as much as possible, looking forward to trying all the food
  4. Thanks everyone, I have been googling like mad, after a while your mind goes numb!! Great to hear where you've stayed and what's around
  5. We've booked the flights!! Decided to stop In Kuala Lumpur for a couple of days, anyone got any recomendations of where to stay? There are 6 of us, 3 adults 3 kids (15,12,11) would like it if anyone has stayed here, any off the tourist track sights worth seeing ( arriving end of May if that makes a difference), thanks
  6. that's disappointing we lodged our 489 early may so guess we wont hear anything for a couple more months, thanks pumpkin for the link, I wont need to be obsessively checking my emails every hour of the day!!! lol
  7. christina77 we lodged beginning of may (489) also front loaded our medicals & police checks still haven't heard anything so like you we are waiting in anticipation!!!! oh and praying !!
  8. I got two of the same and presumed it was also the system down message like j19jjr, must be something in it if were all getting a email but no message
  9. my husband had the same problem, he finally got 7`s on his 3rd attempt, I goggled ielts writing ect ( & ielts scoring ) & downloaded paper after paper for him and we practised together every night, then went through them with a fine tooth comb, my advice is to do exactly what it says on the paper in the exact order, some people were on their 7/8th attempt, keep practising, keep trying you will get there in the end, good luck
  10. thankyou, from what ive googled it pretty much says the same just not on the immi web site!! so just wanted to double check, now that's a job for tomorrow
  11. forgive me if this has already been asked but I just wanted to get an up to date answer, I have submitted our visa application and there is a long list of documents recommended to scan, do I need to certify all copies or just black and white ones? how much work evidence should I scan? something from every year i`m claiming evidence for? and what about documents for my partner even though i`m not claiming partner points, hope someone can help with either their own recent experience or someone in "the know"!! thank you
