  1. Hi Torrentkid I have done two interviews already via skype. Employers in Oz understand if you are outside Australia. First they will email you and then ask for interview prefrence, so I went with skype. seek.co.au is a good site. Personally register yourself and upload your cv. If you want a start up job close to $21ph, then alter your cv to suit the jobs and then start looking for work in your own field. In my case, I have already registered with Smart Teachers due to my Mathematics and Physics background. Just awaiting for the result of my final interview before I go ahead with the teacher registration process. Finding work in Remote areas is a plus coz they can provide accomodation. Cheers guys
  2. Hi Eddie and the Rest I am still in my country. Utilizing my leaves. Done two interviews already via Skype and looks promising. Was planning to move to Oz in December, but now I think I may have to make an early move. Sold most of the stuff except my car which I think will go up for sales sometimes next month. Cheers
  3. Dear All The email I wrote to the Adelaide Team was just asking on the status of my application and if I am required for any extra documents. I also asked them indirectly whether both of us need to do medical tests again. I sent the email on 4th of July and got my grant on 9th of July. My CO initials are LC from Team 7. Hope this helps. Cheers Thomas
  4. Dear friend Plastic Island, your application date is same as mine. My CO was allocated 3 days earlier. I sent the CO TEAM an email to ask whether I am required to send any further documents. In my Immi Account, I saw a file uploaded on 27/05, this made me curios to know what is it. I guessed, it must be the health documents for myself and my wife. So I sent them an email inquiring about the 'alien upload'. Indirectly I asked them about the status of my application. A week later, I got the grant. So I suggest it is worthwhile to email CO asking the status of the application. I am not in hurry to move to OZ as I am utilizing my Annual Leaves, Extra hours and days earned which is an accumulated sum of 135 working days. I have applied to travel to OZ during this period and once I get approval I will move to OZ temporarily. After-all it is just 3.5 hours flight from my country. Cheers Thomas
  5. Hello All I got my grant yesterday. The Grant Notification mail came at around 3.45pm AEST. Congratulations to all those who got their grants as well. I pray for all those who are waiting. Cheers Thomas
  6. Hello All Refer to the following link on the updates for 190: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AkrdCphtU8u-dGJQSWROUlZ0bThIaUF2VW9zdUZmMlE&usp=sharing#gid=3 Hope this helps. Cheers Thomas
  7. Hello All It is true that March applicants gor their grant this week. If one followed closely, these applicants had their medical/PCC done at an earlier stage and hence could be a possibility of having their files ready for a grant. I saw one Feb who lodged on 19th, got the grant and maybe they will clear the remaining next week depends on Meds/PCC. Interestingly, some Nov, Dec and Jan applicant are yet to get their grant. Have patience guys, at the end of tunnel there is always light. I called DIBP today but the talk was not fruitful as the person on the other end was not cooperating and never looked happy with my call. I think I should just wait and watch. Cheers Thomas
  8. Dear All For your Information: IMPORTANT NOTICE - New email address We would like to advise that as of 30 June 2014 supporting documentation should be emailed to: GSM.Allocated@immi.gov.au<mailto:GSM.Allocated@immi.gov.au>. To ensure your documents are attended to as soon as possible, we encourage you to update your records, and to send any further documentation to GSM.Allocation@immi.gov.au<mailto:GSM.Allocation@immi.gov.au>. The following mail boxes will no longer be available: Adelaide.GSM.team6@immi.gov.au<mailto:Adelaide.GSM.team6@immi.gov.au> Adelaide.GSM.team7@immi.gov.au<mailto:Adelaide.GSM.team7@immi.gov.au> Adelaide.GSM.team23@immi.gov.au<mailto:Adelaide.GSM.team23@immi.gov.au> If you have sent documents to any of these email addresses prior to 3 July 2014, you are not required to resend. But when you send the email, the delay email is replied which still has 2013/2014 Program Year. I emailed them due to discrepancies of few documents being shown in my Immi Account. Cheers Thomas
  9. Possibly new lease of life from tomorrow. Mates keep updating once you receive the Golden Mail. Cheers Thomas
  10. Hi Plastic Island I think it is no use mailing or calling them now as the response will be same. Then starting of July the whole "CO Teams" would be really busy granting visas, thus more frustration for you if the reply is late. Calling them is a good idea, I can afford as calls are very cheap from Fiji ( I am from Fiji). Be rest assured, if everything is in order, then you will get your grant in July. My Meds has been cleared by MOC but my CO has not updated my file, technically speaking CO has not finalized. But according to Michelle, Meds are ok. I have sent a technical email to my assessing Team asking for the status of my Meds indirectly. Should take seven days to get a reply. I wanted my grant before the 15th of May as there were vacancies which I could have easily got. Now, I have to wait one year as these vacancies are advertised once in a year. But this will not stop me to enter OZ land. The FIFA World Cup has cushioned some pressure off me so I am a bit relaxed. The bottom line is that 'flood gates will open in July", but do not expect the grant in the first week to avoid further frustration. The CO team will have thousands of applications to clear. So chill and get some relaxation. Cheers
  11. That is some good news for you since your application is waiting the quota to open. Exactly when one will be given grant for Feb application is a question as all depends on the CO. I was told since 5th May, no one has been working on my case. MOC has cleared the Meds but the CO has not finalized (I mean in my file, the word cleared is not stated by CO as my file is closed for more than a month now). So I guess they will start working on our applications from July. There is a narrow window for the lucky ones before June ends. I had a long chat with the lady in DIBP, and upon asking I was told that I have reached the decision point but this was told to me indirectly. I asked her whether we need to do Meds again and she replied that all is well. I enquired via email and got reply from different officer. My CO has been changed. However, the team remains same which is Team7 Adelaide. Meanwhile enjoy the FIFA world cup and keep cheering for Brasil. Cheers Thomas
  12. Hello All Signature updated. Cheers Thomas
  13. Hello All I called DIBP today and Michelle answered my call after 58minutes. I checked on my status and was told all is clear except medicals which has been completed but not reached finalization stage as my CO has closed my file. The reason I was told is that I applied on 19th of February and they have nearly exhausted the 190 quota, so floodgates will open from 1st July. I was told that the 190 is suspended till 1st July for majority applicants. But then I am told it is only a matter of few weeks. Thanks Thomas
  14. Hello All It is now proven that SN190 has slowed down. What are the actual reasons? My CO was appointed on 28th March, Med link activated on the same day which was completed on the 1st April. First email from CO requesting PCC on 04/04 which was sent on the 8th of April and received by the Mail Room on the 10th. Thought my CO only works on Fridays so did not contact her for two weeks due to ANZAC day and Easter Friday. In the Immi account, there is statement stating that "No health examinations are required for this person for this visa subclass based on the information provided to the Department of Immigration and Border Protection". Now what does this mean? I emailed my CO on the 18th of April and after 7 days I got a reply from another officer. On the same day, i.e., 18/04, I sent a thank you email. A week later I recieved another email from a different person and from different team. My CO is from T7 but the email came from T11. In the email I am told that my Med Clearance will take another 2 to 4 weeks before a decision is made. Now, are the grants being delayed because of back log at MOC???? Thanks. Thomas
  15. Hi Jules Are you doing it for the first time? If yes then, do not panic because IELTS tests your skills. Reading is hard though, but you need to scan and skim while answering. With listening be careful with three people having a conversation. Try and get all 20 in the first 20. The last ten is tricky but I found it easy. From 21 to 30, I found it difficult but I managed to get 8 in Listening and 8.5 in Reading. Speaking is very easy. However, you need to answer in a logical way with good vocabs. Structure should be perfect. I got 8.5 again. Writing is the best part coz you have the question where you have your own answer. Part1 is purely mathematical and your job tells me that mathematics had been one of your good subjects in high school. Dominic has a perfect site: http://www.dcielts.com/ I used this site to get 20 points and consequently got QLD SS. Cheers Thomas
  16. Hello All Seems all are back from a break and so has the COs of some cases. Refer to the link for visa tracking: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AkrdCphtU8u-dGJQSWROUlZ0bThIaUF2VW9zdUZmMlE&usp=sharing#gid=0 You will see that 189 are getting faster than 190 .............. The latest grant was received by Ozbabe ...............lodged on 14th Feb So Feb gang are slowly getting it ..................ironically some Jan gang still waiting
  17. Hello All I would like to know if anyone is there with 190 SS has their occupation removed from the State Sponsored List? What I have gathered so far, and if this is the case then the from priority 3, the application is moved to priority 5 which takes longer for grant. But the bottom line is this: IF you have applied, you will get your grant in July, 2014. Secondly, the quota would be official on DIBP site on the 1st of July BUT THE COs will get the information first (before 1st July). So there is a chance one can get in June. Thirdly, I have seen in other forums that applicants from low risk countries get THEIR GRANT QUICKLY!!!!!!
  18. Ok Then now I have to worry again!!!!! Rest please update on any updates............
  19. Hello All Is there anyone from Feb gang who has got the Grant. From Expat forum, I think BigMac lodged on 12/02/14 and got Grant on 11/04. Someone else (not sure if Kelly) applied on 14/02/14 and got the grant on 15/04/14. Probably, applications from 15/02 till 16/02, their grant have come today (17/02). So I am guessing the lot who have applied from 17 till 21 of Feb, may get something next week but then we would be short of Two days (Easter Monday and ANZAC day), if 16/02 applicants are not granted then Easter Friday will increase the waiting period. So the magic day for 17/02 till 21/02 applicants could be either 24/04, 28/04 or 29/04. In my case I applied on 19th and my CO responds to me only on a Friday, so my magic day could be 02/05/14. From Feb (1 to 28) adding three months is May (1 to 31), so I think spaces are there for this gang (Mathematics is taking toll maybe on COs). But if you look at March, 2014 and add three months it will be end of June (start of new fiscal year). So I think Feb gang have some hope to get it before the end of May. Cheers All
  20. Hi froggles You mentioned something regarding about the delay email. Could you post that mail on this site. Also, could you let me know your CO team. Cheers Thomas
  21. Hi Sephie May I know when did you lodge your visa and after how long CO was allocated? Is the Team from Adelaide? I also hope there is not a delay. So far WA, ACT and SA are facing delays as I think their 190 planning level is reached, but QLD has not been reached I suppose. Fingers crossed. Thanks Thomas
  22. Hi Guys This there anyone in these Feb gang who has been sponsored by The State of Queensland. Like some states have reached their planning level for 190, and are just waiting for "new year". I would like to know whether this could have been a factor as well in the delay. Is it that States and Territories are allocated quotas from 28850 spaces? How does this thing work? Cheers
  23. Hello Matiko Thats exactly what I meant. I would advise you to call DIBP on the number provided on their website. Maybe it is delay tactic by your CO. But for sure you have your CO appointed. When I called I had to wait for 1hr and 15 minutes for someone to answer. As per rules, the CO must contact you within two weeks of allocation. In your case, should be this week. I wwas also told that a decision on your grant should be made within 3 months (plus or minus few weeks). Cheers Thomas
