Hi everyone we have been in adelaide for 9 weeks now and are living in Glenelg. So far everything has gone smoothly with getting a job and the kids are fitting well in school. Hope are future continues to go well here its best move we've ever made....loving it! Good luck to everyone for their future too

Hi eddieb7 I think everyone has been organising their moves seeing as we all waiting for such a long time!. Our story so far ... We have managed to rent our house out and moved in with parents all be it a bit cramped lol... Our furniture was collected end of july and we fly out on 15th September to Adelaide. It seems to be all happening fast but hope everything goes smoothly once we get there. We have also opened an bank account in Australia. Hope everyone is getting on well with their plans too. I sent it to the team adelaide email as they have been joined together now and put it for the attention of my Co (JS) it was a polite email just asking what the status was for our visa now that we are in july. It seemed to be doing the trick for other people so thought I'd give it a go and it's either worked or coincidence! !! The grant had a different signature on it as I think at the end they must work together. I think we are going to have to go in panic mode as we want to leave by first week in September as our middle child is due to start secondary school then so don't want her to have to settle in here just to be moved to another school soon after. Might have a problem getting a holiday let in adelaide now though as the ones we were looking at in February are all full now !

Once you get a case officer they will provide you with an email for that team

Thanks . No they wouldn't let me talk to our CO. And yes I rang back straight away hoping for a different answer lol ! But I then emailed the Co at the weekend to find out our status as other people said they had done the same and got their visas granted in a couple of days. It has worked for us so I would recommend to email them as you haven't got anything to lose it might jog their memory a bit lol.

Just to let you know we got our visas this morning yaaaaah !!!!!!@!!!! The wait is finally over good luck for everyone theywill clear them this week I reckon

We also rang DIBP this morning but they couldn't shed any light on the situation as all they were saying was they will be done as soon as they can. I even rang twice incase someone else was a bit more talkative!! Lol but got same info off them too. I think everyone is so anxious as we have all been waiting for the 1st of July for a long time and I know deep down we were hoping our visas would have been granted by today.... will have to hopefully wait till next weekend to celebrate . Good luck everyone let's hope next week will be our week!

Well they have issued quite a few more March applicants today...... I just don't understand how they choose which visa to process first it's driving me crazy !!!!!

Well bricklayers have gone from SA state sponsorship i know it shouldn't affect us but doesn't give much confidence!!:no:

We were hoping that the ones that were decision ready were going to be sent out automatically but it's gone midnight so that theory is out of the window ! Lol let's hope they process them quick so we can be put out of our long and crazy wait fingers crossed:twitcy:

I too am a bricklayer but just managed to get a invite before it came off the list. I expect you probably already realise but bricklayers are going on the 189 visa too on the 1st July so you can work anywhere in Australia if you apply for that visa. So it look like we're going to be in demand!! Lets hope so

Got the delay email this morning don't know whether to feel happy or sad lol ! I suppose I know that at least They have looked at the application recently:wacko:

We lodged on 4th Feb and have had no delay email or any contact for that matter !

Go to the website of the state that you want to apply ..e.g. We applied for South Australia. It will then have a link of how to apply . You complete the questions and then it takes about 3 or 4 weeks to say if they will sponsor you and they will give you an automatic link to then apply for your visa. I'm sure once you have read the states Web site you'll understand it all. Hope this helps

If you are applying for state sponsorship then you do that first as once they sponsor you it will automatically give you an invite

We are in the same boat applied same day as you and have had no contact what so ever.:arghh: the only reason I know I have a CO is because I rang diac but they haven't contacted me at all

No haven't heard anything

Has all the people on Feb lodged gang with T2 Adelaide received the delay email as getting a bit worried that although we have found out we got our CO on 20th March there has been on communication to ask for anything or be told about the delays. If I hadn't have rang last week wouldn't have even known we got a CO the longer the wait the more I keep thinking done something wrong in the application. Just wish they would post something on their website to keep us informed, after all there are only 7 1/2 weeks left till July they must be able to work it out how many more they could issue until then and let people know the rest will be done on 1st july. This is just me ranting on ......its the not knowing that's the killer !! Lol
