  1. Hi Steve, Obviously forgot to put on forum. Much to my surprise my visa was granted in February. At the end everything was very quick. I was one of the lucky ones and had my HAP number at the beginning. Had my medical in November and I was advised to get a letter from my oncologist to take with me. It included diagnosis, where I was with the treatment and what was the prognosis. Also what Tests would I need for the next five years. It was sent to immi and it then went quiet. Went to Australia for christmas and while I was there CO was allocated the request was received for AOS, and police check. AOS was really easy and was completed before I came home. Police check had to be completed before the 5th January, however not home until the 4th so my agent e-mailed immi and explained. I had to pay for the quick turn around, and send the certificate of postage to my agent. Response was quick and police check sent to immi on the 9th January. Request for 2nd VAC was received and luckily I signed for my son to be able to sign on my Australian bank account. This was the quickest part the chq was sent registered and was signed for at 10:00am on the 9th February and my visa was granted before 12:00. I fly out on the 26th June to Adelaide. I haven't seen anyone else on the forum going to Adelaide. I really didn't think I would get a visa straight away. It did take 24 months. Acknowledgement was 10th February 2014 and granted on the 9th February 2016. Sorry it rambles on that's chemo brain for you. Best wishes Glynis
  2. It will all be over soon Steve, and you wil be in Australia for good.
  3. Hi everyone, I don't comment very often however I thought I would update you on my time scales. My lodgement date was the 10th February 2014. I had my medical on the 19th November 2015. I did leave as long as I could as I was diagnosed with cancer 3 weeks after lodgement date, and I took advice from my agent. They were bound to ask lots of questions regarding the cancer but so far nothing. However I did get a letter from my oncologist regarding all my treatment before my medical so I could take it with me. I was given a CO on the 7th December 2015. AOS completed while I was in Australia on holiday for christmas. Application of AOS accepted and letter from Centrelink dated 31st December 2015, at the same time they advised Dept of Immigration, delay caused by misspelling of my surname. Police checks completed and sent to Immigration Dept on the 7th January 2016. Now waiting, this is worse than waiting for the CO. Regards to everyone in the waiting room. Glyn
  4. Need some help. My agent has told me a prolonged period in hospital for your medical form is two nights, however my friend has been told five nights.Any ideas?
  5. Form 80 completed and sent to agent. I am lucky have had same job for 40 years and only went to three school so did not have to remember too much.
  6. Hi Steve, I was advised to continue with my application as I was diagnosed with cancer three weeks after the 1st VAC was paid. Just keeping my fingers crossed. I have been told that I may be told to reapply at a later date. Glyn

  9. Quick question. Getting all my forms ready and forgot to phone my agent today. Need to get some photo's tomorrow. Do I have my glasses on or off?
  10. this is my first post although i've been reading everything on this forum for some time. Will be applying for a 143 visa when my son has lived in Australia the two years which will be on the 4th February 2014. So looking forward to the start of my new journey. I have started filling in the forms to get prepared. Started declutering and the house will soon be ready to go on the market. Only question I have at the moment is on the form 40 that my son is completing. What is the Visa Evidence Number . My son had an e-visa. I have decided to go with a migrant agent so I coulkd leave the question until then, however if someone has the answer I would be greatful.
