  1. Hi all, I've been lurking around but have not posted. Since my parents have just been granted their CPV 143 thought I'd share the process. Since I was the authorised receipient in the application, all communications with the DIAC was by email including Visa Grant. 8/6/2012 - Application acknowledged 11/9/2013 - Case Office Request for Info (Given 28 days to provide info) Info required: Health Assessment (HAP ID Provided and requested for Medical Exam, Chest Xray and HIV Test) Form 80 - Personal Particulars for Character Assessment (Complete this first as this is a real pain in the ***) Police Certificate - Any country where parents spent more than 12 months in the past 10 years (Originals must be sent by post) Assurance of Support (AOS) Request - A letter is provided. This letter must be provided to the Assurer who will have to include this letter with the AOS application. 16/9/13 - AOS application lodged with Centrelink in person at Customer Service Centre (Walk in without appointment) Application form can be found online on the Department of Human Services website. Note, the Service Centre will witness the documents provided and fax it somewhere to be processed. Documents provided with application: Assurance of Support Request Letter (as above) Identification (100 points) Proof of Residence (for Assurer) Evidence of Ongoing Income (Payslips 2 most recent and consecutive) Evidence of Taxable Income last Financial Year (ATO Notice of Assessment for 30/6/2012) 19/9/13 - Centrelink AOS Phone Interview Called me at work number to check if I worked there. Nothing much just stating the responsibility as Assurer and not able to claim welfare etc etc for 10 years. 24/9/13 - Parents completed the Health Assessment. Some forms were completed but the results were lodged online by the doctor directly to DIAC. 25/9/13 - AOS Bank Guarantee Request letter received 27/9/13 - Bank Guarantee lodged with Commonwealth Bank (CBA) - only bank which is permitted to provide the bank guarantee Walk in without Appointment I prepared a bank cheque of $14,000(2 visa applicants) made out to my(sole Assurer's) name. FYI, a 60 month Term Deposit was opened at 4.1% interest pa (paid half yearly to my personal account) as the bank guarantee. Will be renewed automatically until 10 years is up (starts when parents arrive or visa granted, whichever later). Provided to CBA: AOS Bank Guarantee Request letter (Above) Identification (Australian Drivers License) Tax File Number Personal Bank Details (for interest) $150 CASH (Administration Fees charged by CBA for the guarantee) Received from CBA and provided to Centrelink on the same day: Bank Guarantee (Assurance of Support) letter from CBA - signed & stamped by bank Account Confirmation (Term Deposit) printout with account details Centrelink faxed the two letters off for processing and stamped my Bank Guarantee request letter with a date. 30/9/13 - Received Centrelink letter Assurance of Support (AOS) have been accepted Centrelink also notified DIAC directly of the acceptance of AOS so no further action required from me for the AOS. 1/10/13 - Signed and completed Form 80 emailed to Case Office.
