  2. Hi no1mum i know exactly how you feel and still up and down on a daily basis. But flights, removals, holiday let booked. Still no jobs so a huge leap of faith. In also having surgery next week but just a knee op nothing too serious. Would be lovely to have someone to chat with before and after we arrive as we won't know a soul there either. We were also parents since the age of 20 and my daughter now 20 herself as started saying she isn't sure whichakes the whole thing even worse for us. However for all the things that could go wrong the same could also be amazing and we are thinking wel try it for maybe two years and if it doesn't work then all we really lose is two years. We trying to treat it as an adventure although it is scary. If you want to chat or de stress at please contact me cos I really know how you feel. Kerry
  3. Yeah I was told they like to interview on arrival but have been told will get a job ok once there. Maybe he should think about telling family soon as our visa was really quick after case officer. When are you hoping to go to oz and what do you both do for work? I'm at the point where I think we just need to go now cos some days I try and talk myself out of going and others I'm really positive.
  4. Well done, our visa was really quick after getting case officer and medicals only bout 6 weeks. It's really exciting isn't it. Just wish could get a job prior to going but think we will just take a leap of faith and go for it anyway. X

  17. Hi auzzieshelia I know how you feel we looking for furnished accommodation for three month when first arrive and because its jan and peak season it's gonna cost us around five to six grand which is a huge chunk of our savings. I'm worried about references for long term unfurnished let to as have never rented in UK so no references from landlord. Iv applied for midwifery jobs but heard nothing yet most want me to interview in arrival which is a worry as finances tight. We have a twenty year old daughter who is going to come over a few weeks after us to give us time to get things settled. I really am al over place some days can't wait and feel brave that itl all work out then others I think what are we doing. We have jobs here a house pensions etc but want a better future for all three of us as we rarely see each other here and no jobs for daughter. If you'd like to keep in touch feel free inbox me and il send email address. What part are you moving to? Nice to know others feeling the same kerry
