Hi, we lived in cotton tree and my 11 year old son went to maroochydore primary school, he loved it from the first day, we had to move on due to the poor job market up there, so my advice would be to make sure you secure work first, good luck you'll love it Sent from my SM-J320FN using Tapatalk
  2. Hi Nina and family, we've been over in maroochydore for 5 weeks now so also very new, also a family of 5, me, Emma, hubby, Dave and 3 boys eldest 20, then 18, youngest is 11, I'm still using the sat nav have tried without it but just get lost, we will have to arrange a meet up at some point,

Hi Neil we moved to Alexandra headland from Yorkshire a month ago, family of 5 hubby, myself and 3 boys we are loving it here it's amazing, I got a job straight away nursing my husband has just received his white card so hopefully will start working soon, not that I think he wants to as he seems to be enjoying the beach with the boys[emoji12] my eldest 2 are 20 and 18 there seems to be a lot of hospitality jobs around this area, let us know if you need any info and we'll do our best to help, our youngest is 11 and has just started maroochydore primary it was fairly straight forward getting him enrolled good luck with the move guys

  6. He hasn't been working, we are still in UK waiting for him to finish his course, we are on a state sponsored 190 visa
  7. My son is also 19 but he is in full time education, the college gave us a copy of my sons timetable and we just gave that as evidence
  8. When I submitted my application for state sponsorship (QLD) they asked for me to send a letter telling them a little about us and the reasons we had chosen Australia(QLD) as a place to live. Not a personal statement as such more of a family statement lol

When I did mine I told them about our jobs, what the kids where doing at college, why we had chosen australia as a place to settle, I was advised to show a little knowledge about the area we had chosen to settle in so I wrote a little about schools and colleges we had had researched hope this helps, ours was only a page long, good luck with the process it feels like your waiting forever but it only took 12 weeks from EOI to grant[emoji1]

Hi everyone, family of five heading to Brisbane just waiting for house to sell, put it on the market yesterday first viewing tomorrow[emoji16] so many emotions, excited, nervous, scared, so much to do but don't really know where to start.   12. Lodged 4th June extra docs requested 7th august visa grant 28th august, can't believe it still, been day dreaming about the move all day at work

  15. I got lucky, took all my docs into a local solicitors office with the thought I may be able to leave them, the solicitor got me a cup of tea and signed them all there and then all for £10, I don't know what notary solicitor is but my docs were accepted

Hi everyone, just need to pick your brains, my CO has asked for some more info regarding my son, I have uploaded this info but haven't heard anything back and now I'm worried because it is nearing the 28 day deadline, if the information is insufficient will they extend the deadline?? Ask for more info?? Or refuse my application?? I am getting myself in such a state over this I've aged 10 years lolx

Visa lodged 4th June, 2 days ago CO requested 1229 form consent to grant a visa to child under 18, my children are 19 and 17 years old, have not had contact with their biological father for 16 and a half years, we don't even know where he is. Can anyone give me advice on this???? Or should I just write a statement explaining this and upload to my immi account?[emoji33]

  21. Thanks for replying Ellis, I phoned the clinic and there was a delay on his x ray results, the doctor checking was off for the day she did promise me there was no problem and they would be sorted today
  22. They were declared, but the one from years and years ago he couldn't remember dates or the exact charge so I just put on altercation with a neighbour more than 10 years ago so hope that was ok
  23. We lodged ours 4th June still waiting to upload police checks, but everything else front loaded good luck
  24. Thanks for starting this thread aconcannon, I am feeling less stressed about the outcome of my hubbies police check, he has informed me that he used to be a bad lad in his younger days but nothing major. Fingers crossed and praying [emoji12]
