  1. We used to regularly see big spiders in our Australian house, far bigger and more numerous than here. Most are relatively harmless but you have to be careful depending on where you are.
  2. 30cm, seriously ? Plus I assume a few hundred dollars to have it 'inspected' ?
  3. When you say portable pool do you mean one of small inflatable pools or a proper above ground ?
  4. You definitely need to get somewhere it isnt grey all the time, that doesnt mean Australia of course, many places in the UK arent like that.
  5. Spot on, gullible people will read the article and think the sky is falling and sign up for whatever it is they are selling.
  6. They dont want to ban them. They want them regulated and not sold in corner shops. Currently anyone can theoretically make and sell them, sensibly they want them controlled NOT BANNED
  7. There is no way any Government in any country anywhere in the world would ban cigarettes, as disgusting as they are it just wont happen.
  8. Do a Google search of the article and although most dont go as far as to call it a hoax it is pretty much dismissed as sensationalist so I wouldnt worry too much
  9. Thanks to the Coalition ? One minute you say the 'Nasty Party' has hit the working man and then you say they seem to have more disposable income than ever before.
  10. I agree with Dustyroad, most things are noticeably cheaper here plus there is an enormous variety and choice.
  11. I thought they just wanted to classify them as a medical treatment as currently they are totally unregulated so anyone can just produce them.
  12. The problem I have though is that these issues are also getting worse in Australia and there apparently wasnt a recession. Food banks are also increasing and many cant cope with the demand. The biggest problem is poverty isnt what it used to be, I dont mean that in a flippant way but years ago when a family was in poverty it literally meant they have nothing. Today it seems as though many of these families are their own worst enemies, not all of course but many. They smoke and drink and complain they dont have enough to live on.
  13. I was watching a story about engineering and manufacturing up in the Midlands and they were saying how the Governments figures grossly underestimted how things were going, most of the companies were flat out and expanding and a lot of it was down to the thriving car industry and motorcycle industry among others.
